@@SILSAL67 And the legislature does tweaks around the edges and has failed to get a constitutional amendment to allow for direct election of judges by the people where they serve. South Carolina is constantly letting murderers out on bond and sometimes allowing them to live out of state while out on bond--look up "He was out on bond for a Myrtle Beach Killing, NC cops say he committed another murder." And prosecutors are horrible in South Carolina as well. 15th solicitor Jimmy Richardson for example gave a guy named Geames Ratlif a plea dal for only 12.5 years for shaking a baby to death while he and his girlfriend where trafficking drugs at a hotel somewhere in Horry county. And despite accomplice liability laws allowing his girlfriend to be charged Jimmy Richardson made a ton of excuses for not charging the girlfriend in the baby's death. SC is a mess and has the second highest crime of anywhere in the US behind only Washington DC and these issues and more are why!

This is what happens when parents let their kids do whatever they want to do and do not make them responsible people. He obviously has problems from how he was brought up, how his parents treated him. they should have some accountability in his crimes, for their lack of parenting. Talking about crime and punishment, SC is not the only state that doesn't punish criminals. It is starting to become an epidemic in this whole country, especially with the illegals, getting away with robbery, assault and mostly murder. The whole justice system in this country need to be overhauled. If Jasper County is keeping it close to the chest, the woman must be somebody or the person that did it is somebody.

We live in upstate NY. My husband is law enforcement & soon to retire. Our plan had always been to move to the Carolina's but unfortunately in recent years, it's looking to similar to the policies, crimes & housing prices we are trying to get away from. Fla has better laws but everyone is rushing there.
