In this message Andy states, “We’re only as happy as our core relationships are healthy.” Have you experienced this in your own life? When your core relationships are struggling, how does it impact the other areas of your life?
So, this was a tear jerker for me as well. I have been praying about my particular relationship (not always happy with His answers😊), and struggling between pleasing God and pleasing myself (my flesh). Today’s scripture, Romans 12, was one of the very scriptures I had been reading. And as if that was not enough, you give us a prayer to help me with “getting back to” rather than “ getting back at”.😢 It along with the rest of your messages has helped me to put things in proper perspective. And apparently it isn’t over, as this is only part 2😂 Thank you in advance for your prayers.
Please help me understand, how am I blessing someone when I call them a brood of vipers? I need to know because I really want to be a person who has no regrets in reconciliation. Thank you!
There is a no win calling someone that. It comes across as passive aggressive at least and abrasive at best. I once was that honest and insensitive to say something like that, and I still have someone who has hated me since 2018 because of one comment I cannot take back. Just because someone is a bad person doesn't mean it doesn't hurt them finding out they are in an abrasive way. Might as well send them a letter dripping in stink bomb fragrance if you want to quote Bible insults. Just saying, there is no undo button for those kinds of words.
What about really extreme relationship problems? For example oppression and abuse? What about a woman who experienced domestic violence? Do you recommend her to “get back to”? And how exactly does that look like in such a case?
How can someone wrong you? People only express outwardly who they are inwardly. It's not personal. Forgive them for what they didn't do. Every unloving act is a cry out for help and healing.
