I've made this YEARS ago, and I must admit, her turkey burger recipe is by far my favorite. I'm not a water chestnut fan, but it does add the needed crunch. So much flavor
Yes, but the two women she’s doing the demo for are novices, if memory serves. She’s trying to get them to commit to a recipe and not go crazy with combinations that don’t make sense. The way they do on worse cooks in America. When I was teaching myself to cook, I did that constantly, and got into so much trouble. Also, here she’s tested the recipe before presenting it to them.
Caught her putting this up on food network years ago. Tried it. It's my only turkey burger recipe now. Skipped the water chestnuts and it was incredible. Combination seems unlikely, but it really really works.
How to curiosity how did the water element work for you? Because when I added the water to mine(and I used the amount she used.) it made the meat difficult to work with when I was making the patties it was too moist. Enough so that I just stopped using the water altogether.
i like raw onions in the meat and they cook with the meat..then i like grilled onions on top...tat way your mouth doesnt smell like raw onions after a big meal and grilled onions are delicious
I’m OK with raw onion so long as it’s red or Spanish onion. They tend to be more sweet and less intense. It also helps to cut them really thin so you’re not getting onion flavor just dumped on your pallet.
My recipe: * 1 lb ground turkey * 1 cup smoked ham * 1 cup salsa, reg or pineapple * Onion & Garlic powder to taste or caramelized onions and diced garlic * Dash of W and soy sauce * No eggs * Serve over grilled rye bread
how about using your brain (if you had one) and figure it out for yourself 😊💜 clearly you don’t have one considering the dumb question you just had to ask. seriously do you NOT know where to look? 🙄🤦♀️ such a disappointment.
How did the so called "tester patty" magically turn into a regular patty. What happened to quality control? She didn't eat the "tester patty". Did she put two slices of cheese on a uncooked patty? I didn't see whether or not that patty was flipped. It looked undercooked when she transferred it to the burger.
+Will Conway Jr For time sake, everything is already pre-made. All she has to do is explain it. Plus, I'm sure she's made them before so I'm sure she already knows what they taste like.
man she put so much uneeded stuff into that meat it kills the flavour of it PUT worchester sauce , dark soy sauce and ground pepper all you need to enhance that meat . Don't overdone it , rule number one prepairing the meat for burgers.
great flavo on the pattie.... thats the star.. dont need a burger king kids meal... a good sauce would be a mayo garlic soy sauce... bacon and carmalized onions.. thsts it
That's not real. There are lots and lots of turkey burger recipes and many of them are good. Your job as a cook is to cook the meat well and tasty give the end consumer as many options as they want within your limited resources to customize towards their taste.
Any idea why her hair shooting against the gravity ? Answer : Eat Fusion with confusion Burger for some time Why not add some curry powder with taco sauce
Hold up so there was clearly some beef going on here. Why did she mention “so that’s ONE thing we have in common” about the cilantro? This was awkward to watch and those ingredients together made my stomach turn.
I love this recipe but that nonsense with the water, mmm...No. I added the prescribed amount in the written version of this recipe and the meat was ridiculous it could not come together. I managed but it’s 100% not necessary.
Wow is it just me or does Rachel maybe seem a tad bit pissy and perhaps not enthusiastic about this? Lol Is it a jealousy thing? I mean surely Rachel knows tons of Turkey Burger ideas. Is Rachael forced to have other cooks come on or something? I dunno. Maybe it’s just me. Rachel just seems like a naturally super nice sweet gal that loves everyone and anything yet I feel the “tension” in this lol. I’m not at all familiar with how Hollywood works though.

Damn, Anne. Girl you are a train wreck. I’ve been cooking for 26 years for my friends and family and you do NOT do this to ground turkey. No. You eyeball the ingredients but I do salt pepper garlic powder onion powder, 2/3 cup of milk, and one beaten egg. Mix very gently. Form patties. You’re done and it’s delicious over gravy or on a bun.

I was fine with everything EXCEPT the water chestnuts, I don't want "crunchy" in my burger
"Don't do fusion", proceeds immediately to add american cheese
What kind of cheese would you prefer to put ?

Better than anything you or your trash family have ever made in their trash life. Go eat over salted mac and cheese you flea
She lost me with the water chestnuts. Not to mention most of everything else.
Soy sauce threw me off

The blonde guest on the left was trying to not appear hurt, even though she had every right to feel that way.
Right?? Rachel and the spiked haired weirdo are insulting
I made an asian style turkey burger once with bacon pepper jack cheese grilled eggplant and zucchini and some arugula it was bomb.
I didn't realize I clicked on a "how not to make a Turkey burger" link
Her hair is so understated.
And annoying
There is nothing understated about that catastrophe of a hairstyle
Who are those weird ladies sitting there?!?
yeah the look annoying! :-)

* 1 cup smoked ham
* 1 cup salsa, reg or pineapple
* Onion & Garlic powder to taste or caramelized onions and diced garlic
* Dash of W and soy sauce

PS... grill over pecan and apple wood.

Ann's hair is looking like trumps hair.
Anne is so cocky. This was super cringy.
She is thinks she knows everything
Never did show the quarter size burger for taste testing.
Yes she did, that was an American quarter sized burger. The fat bastard.
I love Rachael, but this is too much going on with this burger! Cheese would be the moisture barrier if placed on the top bun.
Catty ladies 😭
"I eat box, too."
LOLOL the blond bleached hair lady had her top down when driving in the freeway LOLOLOLOL
Good recipe, but Anne has a very rough, verging on rude, manner about her that puts me off. I would be on guard around her !

You have to remember it's a turkey burger so you have to make it flavorful.

My turkey burgers come out dry.
Where’s the seasoning... nvm

Ginger and water chestnuts???? In a turkey burger?????

turkey burgers good.... anne nooooo.
Yuuuuccck American cheese isnt cheese
why is she shoving cilantro in their noses... and then proceeding to chop it up and put it in the food 🤨
It's as if she wanted to piss them off because they might not like the smell.
Water chestnuts 😂 I’m out
Ritz crackers.
Ann probably was high and got the munchies 😂that’s why she was adding so much ingredients lol
The longer I know Rachel, the more I don't like her.
Hold up so there was clearly some beef going on here. Why did she mention “so that’s ONE thing we have in common” about the cilantro? This was awkward to watch and those ingredients together made my stomach turn.
Why the churn? Those are pretty standard ingredients, at least for an Asian take.
Rachel's show is a train wreck along with this episode. wasted my time.
