I love this knife so much that I’m tempted to get another in case I lose it. I have many knifes, most in the $50 range and a few in the $150 range, but this is one of my favorites. Perfect size for my large glove size hand, nice pointy tip for puncturing things and sturdy lock that would be hard to break. Only complaint is that I can’t flick it open like a Spyderco or Benchmade, but that may be because of the type lock it uses. It was really stiff at first but now I can open it if I get it started with my thumb and then flick it
Same here. But for me the price of this one is too high, especially if you compare it to other cold steels. And for thin edc knives I already got the lawman and the code 4. But who knows if it is on sale sometime... Good Video and great channel, subscribed!
Air Light seems like a typical Cold Steel workhorse, great knives. Myself my La-Bar Dozier is what I consider a sensible alternative to the BM Bugout, at what - an eight the price?
I also have the pro lite good knife as my first cold steel knife o ever bought. I would buy another Voyager XL for that price. Because love thoses serations.
Nice intro to this EDC, Mark. One question please...How easy is the Tri-Ad lock to disengage? (I had a Cold Steel Finn Wolf that I wanted to love, except the Tri-Ad lock on that one was incredibly stiff and difficult to disengage!) Thank you.
Cold Steel and Benchmade should switch names for these models: Benchmade Air Lite - because it weighs only 1.8 ounces Cold Steel Bugout - because it's way more robust with its G10 and Triad lock
i have been using this knife everyday & very happy carrying it. full size blade at minimum weight, couldn't ask for more. edge retention test on aus10A is great too, but took a little effort to resharpen. i had reprofile the edge to 10 degrees perside & it slice really well for 3.2mm blade stock. dont worry about chipping after reprofile, aus10A can take it as long as you dont do more than what knife meant to. Light duty stuff, i go for airlite. hours of use & heavy duty, i go for american lawman. thanks for a nice review brother.
I agree, puts the bugout to shame

I've almost bought that a couple of times. I like the shape of the blade 3 mm thick is not bad. Thanks buddy!

@@maxb.4567 Thank you so much for the comment I definitely agree it’s a little expensive but it’s so light weight that I had to get it

Cant beat this for 1/2 the bug out.
It’s definitely steel and very well-built

Way better choice over the Bugout IMHO
and it has a very good blade on the version you have , and they also have a Tanto version.
