@@WetFlySwing Yes, I'm quite looking forward to it buddy! Jeff is actually my second cousin but he lives by me and he is a wonderful fishing partner. He will be with me and Charlie when we meet over there. Our mission when we are over there in your neck of the woods is to get Charlie his first steelhead. So you will get to meet them both. Looking forward to getting my hands on that Echo!

I have that rod and I love it. It's really more of a 7/8, however, than a true 8wt. It doesn't really throw tips and heavy flies like you would expect. It throws the same lines that my Echo TR 7130 does: Skagit 540, Rage/Scandi Long 510, Scandi Compact 480, Airflo Delta 540, Beulah Aerohead 510.
It's no boom stick, but it's light and crisp, and is more sensitive than my other Echo rods.
I really hope they come out with a "Long Spey", a 14' 9wt with the same taper/graphite/finish would be a great winter steelhead/chinook rod.
