This F150 was convinced the rear driver's side door was ajar. Turns out it's just a broken door wire. That's a quick fix with a little extra wire and some soldering.
@@lloydbrokeit3138 Fixed up my door wiring this morning, totally helpful video and saved me about $500 to have dealer fix it. Sad part is, this should obviously be a Total Recall! (LOL) - Hate how they get away with this stuff all the time...BTW, I cut back the hard plastic guide inside the wiring, that was totally where all the wires where cracking...thanks again!
Came here to see how to take this apart - guessing I'm having the same type of problem but with a different symptom - went to roll up the drivers side window and both went up really slow and now when you open the driver side door, the interior light and the power port alternately flicker (opening the passenger side, the interior light comes on normally). Also I'm getting a random misfire like one of the coils went out - in park at idle it's running smooth, but shift into gear and the misfire happens, but sometimes will run normal. Haven't driven it since the first instance.
Awesome video! Question: how would you go about replacing the entire wiring harness? Do you have to take off the entire panel? Could you do a video on how to remove and/or replace the entire wire harness?
As someone who’s door speaker on the left side stopped working and isn’t mechanically inclined at all… where do you purchase the wire? Is it just electrical wire at the parts store?
Has anyone made repairs on the Fron doors wiring harness due to the door ajar / dome lights and door lock issues? If you do; Could you give me some advice, how to REMOVE the CLIP from the Driver's door? (I would not like to damage it) My truck is a 2012 F-150. Thank you.
This video helped me fix my f150 today. Thank you! Took about 30 minutes and cost nothing.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to record and share it, very helpful!
Glad it was helpful!

Great video!! But why didn't you fix the other 2 damaged white wires in the harness while you were in there?
