in Rostock there is the Werner Lindemann School. Werner Lindemann was a very successful children's book author in the GDR and is the father of Till Lindemann. Till's lyrics are unique.
I think that maybe Till got the talent from his father to be able to write such profound, ingenious texts.

I must have heard that song fifty times by now, but I just now notice one detail. "In front of Paris stands Mickey Mouse". In German, that phrase "in front of CITY stands PERSON" is only used in one specific context---to express whose general's army it is that is attacking a city. Ouch.

When I lived in France the local councils tried to stop McD from moving in, but succumbed in the end. Possibly because the main French burger chain (Quick.....as in "quick, fetch a bucket🍔🤮") was more sh£# than the Americans....Also Buffalo Grill.....just wow🤯

I don't understand how you can say, "I don't know if it's true" about the moon landing as an American. It is the greatest achievement in U.S. history and has had the greatest positive effect on humanity by showing what is possible when you have one goal in mind.
Apparently, Americans prefer to be known for Santa Claus, Mickey Mouse, Wonderbra and sometimes war.
The song was written at the time under the impression that the U.S. had falsely chosen Iraq as a target for its revenge on 9/11 and lied to the world about weapons of mass destruction supposedly being there in order to gain its support.
