I am happy that you have such a great experience. My experience is very different. Ordered my F4 starter kit (F2000 + F1450) partly based on this unboxing. It came all broken and damaged. I mean not by the transportation company but because it was so wrongly packaged (little or no protection) that it had no chance of surviving the trip. On top of that the screw set was missing bolts for attaching the mast to the board. Well, weekend plans go out of the window. One of course suspects that reviewers get the best service, but I never saw such a difference between unboxing and actual gear customers get after paying 1600€. Hopefully I am just one unlucky customer out of thousands of happy ones.
Hi Andrei, sorry to hear this happened to you! Did you try contacting F4? I haven't heard of this happening to someone before. I'd be interested to hear what they say to you when you report the problem. That's super frustrating and nothing worse then that feeling of being let down after you receive your gear.
@@westcoastwingfoil I have contacted F4. They sent a replacement set. That is good. It got even worse (facepalm). Somehow the holes on the foil and fuselage of the new set do not align. How is that possible? I have published it on a wordpress blog. But maybe youtube, maybe your channel do not allow links in the comments (or such comments got to "held" section for you to approve). If you enable it I could publish link to photos. Meanwhile just text: Now the holes for screws in the foil and fuselage are out of line, so one cannot even assemble the the set, if one tries the paint started to take off due to stress created on a brand new foil. Since I still have the first set at home, I figured why not put the "old" foil on the new fuselage. Now turned out the "old" F2000 needs some work with a file tool or a knife to fit the fuselage (facepalm) since there was some leftovers from production process in the foil. But at least if fits. Easy piece of work if I was ordering $150 Alibaba foils. From F4 one expects plug and play. Something is very fishy with consistency, tolerances, quality control in F4. Contacted F4. F4 immediately offered money back (I didn't ask for money I asked for solution). But they don't offer a solution. Sounds like: you don't like our quality, fine. That is strange approach. But I want to go on the water and foil. Take my money and give me foils :) So do I keep ordering and wait for a good one? Again, maybe I keep getting Monday foils. Yesterday finally got my first "controlled" flights. Not on F4 foil :). That was actually simplest beaten up Gong Rise XL. Amazing sport! Totally love it! If I ever get my F4 in order I will be able to compare my experiences.
I now received a 2nd F2000 foil. Both(!) faulty the same way. Impossible to put on the fuselage. Hopefully it will help F4 to improve their processes and potential customers to make a decision if they want to deal with such problems now or can wait several years before F4 fixes itself. The worst thing is that in our communication F4 immediately offers money back, not solving the issue of the customer to get him on the water. I hear "This is the quality we have, if you don't like it, you free to go some other place". :) 3 weeks now without foils and counting, summer is ending really fast. Thank you F4. And now need to make a decision if I should give F4 another chance or just switch to another company. Any suggestion?
