    "Sayonakidori" = Nightingale. It's Miku's take on Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. In the play, one can hear the nightingale's song drifting through evening scenes. In one of Shakespeare's most well-known bird references. The Nightingale reference is "Juliet mistakes the lark's song for the nightingale's, hoping that her evening romance with Romeo can continue. Romeo corrects her and departs her bedroom at dawn".
    The small pigeon is an absolute poet. And an absolute rock star!

    Couple of teasers for the new album - Kanami posted that she wrote a difficult drum part for Akane and felt sorry for her - Akane responed by saying 'leave it to me'. Kanami also said that she had written a solo part for Miku.

    In one of the west coast shows during the 2022 US tour, (can't remember which one..) Kanami was back by the drum riser while Miku did her solo part. Kanami-sensi looked soo proud that it made me tear up. She kept looking at Akane , nodding and smiling like, "Look how far she's come." It was a beautiful moment.🤘 I'm gonna go find it now! Thanks Ross! I was hoping you'd do the live one too! 🙂

      @rogerchance9074 Kanami often steps back at that point to let Miku have the stage. I think this is the show @80mtn was referring to: ruclips.net/video/rQTC-bDh2MM/видео.html

    I've fallen into the pigeon hole years ago. Your reaction is only natural. 🤩 Resistance is futile. The maids get us every time. 🎸🎸🎸🎤🥁

      The same show I was at. This was one of the songs I desperately hoped they would play, and I was not disappointed!

    Another fantastic reaction K-Ross! You're right, you can't go wrong with Band Maid. I'm 60 and I've never witnessed anything like them. AC/DC used to be my favorite band. Used to be. Then late one night in late Spring/early Summer 2017, I found a video called Thrill by a band called Band Maid. Wasn't looking for them, never even heard of them. 30 seconds into Thrill, Mind blown, Life changed! They have never disappointed. Thanks again, K-Ross! And yes, you NEED to go see them as soon as you can. Have you heard their newest song? Bestie. It is a collab with Mike Einziger of Incubus and it's absolutely beautiful. Lyrics by Miku - all in English. Only the 3rd time Band Maid has done an all English song.

    This song always sets at the top 5 favorite songs for me. It really rocks…and Miku kills it. The lyrics she wrote are poetic…and she slayed the vocals while playing some great supporting riffs. Of course the other 3 did their thing and added a lot of great stuff to the mix as well. It’s also nice that Saiki can take a break for a few songs and let Miku take the lead…and the song quality is just as good.

    It's hard enough to sing let alone play guitar at the same time. And when you consider that Miku couldn't even play guitar when she started the band it's a testament to her talent, skill & determination. A remarkable woman.🤗

      @rogerchance9074 Haha. Roger just by association of the name Testament is acreason to love Miku. Btw i didn't think you'd have known Testament, your Metal knowledge is deep & you've already got the drinking down fine.😁🍻

    Sayonakidori = 小夜啼鳥 = Nightingale
    This bird is in Europe to Middle east.
    Meaning of the name is "a bird singing in night". In ancient Rome, they said this bird sings high tone in many ways and sings till die.
    After reading the meaning of the title, Miku's voice sounds like "Sayonakidori".

    • @armynurseboy
      @armynurseboy 3 месяца назад

      In interlude of this song, a dialogue is played by SE. It is a dialogue from Romeo and Juliet.
      [Dialogue]
      My bounty is as boundless as the sea.
      My love as deep, the more I give to thee.
      The more I have, for both are infinite.
      This is the reason why Miku used Sayonakidori (Nightingale) for the title of this song.
      But I feel Sayonakidori and a girl in the lyrics overlapped by the meaning of "Sing in night".
      Just like a Sayonakidori is singing lonely in night by missing her lover. (Difficult to explain with my poor English, sorry)

    Great reaction and that high note that Miku hits near the end was a little bit higher than her normal range, but Kanami wrote it to challenge Miku. During the 2022 US tour she struggled at times at the beginning of the tours, but got better and better. It was a highlight at most of the concerts as the audience cheered her when she hit that note - here is a fan cam - watch at 4:38 to see that reaction - ruclips.net/video/rQTC-bDh2MM/видео.html

      Especially as Kanami told her she couldn't go falsetto for it, like she did for the acoustic concert. Kanami made Miku belt it out in her chest voice instead of her head voice.

      She probably loves the thunderous cheer after pulling off the high note. Which is why we do it, of course.

    Don't say we didn't warn you. 🤭 The full band version hits like a hard right compared to the acoustic. ❤‍🔥🤘🏻
    We don't need to talk about Miku, right? Let someone say again that she's not a rock star. She absolutely nailed it and remains the prettiest and most talented pigeon on this earth po! Misa is Misa and didn't hold back in the acoustic, but with the unbridled Akane and Kanami in the mix, especially with her solo at the end, the original just has that special something that puts it slightly ahead of the acoustic for me. And Miku's lovely 'arigato po' at the end is the cherry on top. 💘🕊

    Kanami never went that high in the acoustic version because she wasn't there. It's only Miku, MISA and Akane. Just like in the acoustic version of 'Puzzle' its only Kanami and Saiki.
