Is BJJ the most drama filled sport? Should all levels compete in the same bracket??

  • The chads discuss how jiu jitsu is filled with drama and bruised egos. Should there be divisions by belt or skill level? Or should all chads be looped in the same division?? #bjj #jiujitsu #grappling

took me like 7 years to get my blue belt. I moved around a lot and had to change schools, but I was beating all the white belts and blue belts for a while. But I had to buy the kimono with the school patch, had to get my "degree", had to pay for events etc, for like a year and a half. I feel like they make you be loyal or somehting to the school before they graduate you. Finally got my blue belt and immediately quit bjj of course.

Dang dude sorry to hear that. Sounds like a bad gym that sucked the enjoyment out of it. Unfortunately some gyms are like that. BJJ is a sport. 99% of people do it for fun. Should not be treated like some college degree or something. You work hard, get better, and the right coach will belt you up. It’s important to find a good gym.

@@THEchadjitsu yea in brazil you get a lot of these small super tribal gyms where you have to be the hardest person etc. Lots of really great schools and gyms obviously. Might have to get back to it!

@@iagofernandes4449 you definitely should man!! Don’t let one bad gym ruin the sport for ya! Plenty of gyms to try out and there’s definitely one probably more suited for your style and mindset!!
