I have to totally agree with your comment. My love for music as a teenager was stemmed from Freda Payne at its core, not only by her vocal, but the music backings her songs.Freda and Holland/Dozier/Holland was perfect chemistry.Like you stated, this album didn't get its adequate recognition. It was certainly one of Freda's best albums and you and I both know it's now "Classic Gold".I decided to sell-off my old-school vinyl collection of music a few months back (from time ware & tare), but all of Freda Payne's vinyl remains in my closet not to be sold, given away or thrown out.Kudos!
This song is breathtaking like the fire hot album cover. Freda sounds AMAZING!!! her vocal performance and the lyric content is just perfect. As a matter of fact, this entire album is great!, and would have been a huge hit if it were promoted. Some of the best music , is music that didnt get promotion or radio play, and this album is a perfect example
