Freda Payne - Bring Back The Joy (Capitol Records 1977)

From the 1977 Frank Wilson produced album Stares & Whispers, Frank tips his cap to HDH and Freda's legendary Invictus days with sitar riffs similar to that used on Band Of Gold in 1970.
I love this song. Frank is so overlooked - just check out all the great work he did with Jean Terrell fronted Supremes (Up The Ladder To The Roof, Stoned Love etc) and The Four Tops. He was a Motown Musical Magician - may he rest in peace. Frank died from prostate cancer on 27 September 2012.
