The band got to meet 9yr old Kieran Howden at Brandt Centre in Regina, SK the other day, where he even got to sing with Sully! He left that day with a lifelong memory, not to mention some awesome merch + memorabilia to take home. The story I read from the link is incredible. These New Hampshire/Boston bad asses are what make metal an enjoyable genre. Good for that kid learning English through the songs and having something to inspire him in life.

Rock on Godsmack. No homo when I say this (and I mean no disrespect for even the PHRASE "no homo" because I have nothing against anyone who aren't straight - just as long as dudes don't try to make any passes at me - because I'd SMACK them if they did !!!!! LOL, get the Godsmack pun ? :) ), but that was absolutely one of the sweetest things I'd ever seen on RUclips !!!!!! Huge props to my all-time-favorite band for meeting Kieran. I had a friend with Down Syndrome, and I always felt horrible when he'd get made fun of in school. It's cool crap like this that makes my huge dream of hanging out with the band - even if for a little while - to hopefully come true someday. Only thing is, IF that got to happen, I'd be honored to get a handshake from every member of the band, because thanks to Godsmack's music, the band has mentally helped me through some tough BULCRAP in my life. (thank you guys. Means a lot to one of y'alls biggest fans - me of course.) GODSMACKER FOR LIFE, DOG GONE IT !!!!!!!!!! In my past - in the 30 years I've been alive - I've gone through 30+ surgeries, back and forth Dr. appointments, numerous hospital stays, infections here and there (UTI's and stupid crap like that) a few close-to-fatal surgeries and too many run-arounds from some hospitals before things finally got to looking up for me after awhile - but it was ALWAYS Godsmack's music that mentally helped me through it all to give me the oomph to make it through it all and end up remaining positive in mood and spirit. That's one reason I have so much respect for this great band. HUGE THANKS TO GODSMACK FOR EXISTING !!!!!
+Kyle Hearnsberger Unlikely to ever happen (Sorry, self-esteem kind of sucks, admittedly.), but man, what a dream to have to be able to meet the band that had a major hand in making me a huge fan of rock and/or metal music. Godsmack had a major start in it, because when I was growing up as a kid, I remember coming home from school one day (I was only in like kindergarten or 1st grade - had to miss out on either 2nd or 3rd grade due to a surgery keeping me at home and making me miss so much school at the time. I'm cool now) and turning the TV on MTV's TRL show, and their hit "Whatever" got good video airing time. Funny - yet true story : I feel kind of stupid, because back then, when I was a kid, I had thought "Keep Away" was their debut music video, but it wasn't until years later that I realized that "Whatever" was technically the first one. When I realized my music-video-flub, I sat there laughing my butt off. :) All in all, MUCH RESPECT to Godsmack. Huge fan for a crap-load of years and still think this band is great. Definitely want to meet them someday - as long as I could request for all members of the band to try to control language in front of any of my family members (minus my brother, because he cusses like a dang sailor....LOL !!!). Sorry for the last couple, slightly-lengthy notes. I never - and I stress the word never - have any real intention of coming off like a jabber-jaw. Just have the intention of chatting with fellow Godsmack fans.
