@@bookerstewart43 hello thank you. Please remember that GM made a few different suspensions for this car. I have the performance package with the Brembo brakes. Please double check, I had this problem when I tried to buy the shocks.
How much???? These Stealership are something else, I don’t understand them. The rear ones are easy but the front are a little difficult but still can be done. I have about 9 videos on this car alone, I hope they help. Thank you
Good video. Thanks for sharing. Nice work. I'm about to do the rears on my dad's 2014, so this was helpful especially since you put the sizes in the video.
Hello 👋 thank you 🙏 please remember to subscribe and watch more, how to videos on this Cadillac on this channel, 9 more videos. I fixed almost everything 😂
I have a 2013 xts with 25.5 k miles. Just changed the original tires hoping to get a smooth ride again. You mentioned greasy discharge as a symptom for replacing the shocks. Could you in the future share before and after replacing thoughts. Something inspirational with a side of motivation.
Wow 😮 you have very low miles, so you shouldn’t have too many problems this year. I have a lot of videos here on this 2013 so good luck and will do. Thanks
Great vid. I use your video step by step to fix mines and everything was good. It one issue . Once I put my tire back. I spun the block and started hearing popping noises. And also go a suspension system code. Any suggestions?
@thomasbotts5815 - thank you 😊 but remember I am NOT a mechanic 👨🔧 I try to show people how these things are done specially those who can not afford to pay these Stealer-ship their weekly salary, but I will buy a torque wrench 🔧 and consider it. ✌️
Just a note: ACDelco sold the patent to these parts to a Chinese company, Arnott. The Arnott shocks and struts are NOT magnaride regardless of what they say and the plugs on them, it is simply a gas shock with a dummy plug on it. The system will not error out but it won't work either. Do yourselves a favor and buy the old stock ACDelco ones, they are the same price anyways.
@@AllAboutCarzz Great video man, I was looking to do mine as at 100k they're all loose and rattly, I found out about the parts when I was digging into it. This visual step by step makes it easy, I might change my bags as well as they're a little dry rotted by now.
@@AllAboutCarzz Yeah I've seen a few of them. Mine is a 2014 V-sport, I paid $14k for it with 60k miles. Basically insane value for a loaded full size sedan with AWD and 400+hp. I'm going to try to keep it until 200k, dunno if the soggy paper transmission will last that long though.
It appears this is the issue on my 13 XTS. Is there away to know for sure it's not the air bags? My shocks do not appear to be oily. But it is low like your video.
I ordered some new shocks. I'm going to put them on. I'll let you know if that was the issue. Could it be the electric suspension control module ? @@AllAboutCarzz
Assuming the suspension message did not come on till after you changed the shocks you will need a bi-directional scanner to reset and clear that code that's what I had to do. Plus after you change a shock you can use a bidirectional scanner to activate the shock and make sure it locks up like it's supposed to.
Hi you are right this is the worst parts in xts Cadi , i don't know why they used this Bad part and make car not somth while driving can you suggest different quality from another Company? Many thanks
Hi, how do you go by Jacking in the rear end up, they say it's a certain way you have to Jack those cars.Up do you let all the air out the suspension before you jack it up?
Please let me know if this help you out, thank you 🙏
Your video was very helpful, but I have a question for my 2018 xts, I do not see the wire pice hanging down from my car to connect for the shocks

All the parts are purchased from Amazon & Ebay. I am going to update it in the description. Thanks

Hi Do the air Suspension compressor, only comes on when the switch is on Position?
I think 🤔 so, because that is what happened to mine.
Can u make a short video where you are lifting the xts to place the jackstands? Thanks in advance or if u have advice.✌🏾

The airbags get low after a while if the car is not started. They will inflate afterwards. I don’t know 🤷♂️ or GM with problematic airbags.

Hello, I believe moog and movitech make some good parts but I still believe the GM part is probably the best for it. The car is just heavy.

Very mechanically. Inclined looks very easy, but don't wanna have a problem with jacking it up.
