Thank you for the helpfuk video. I removed the drivers side cover just to realise the bulb os fine. I put a new one in and it also doesn't work. Is there a fuse for those or how to tirn them on?

I would wait 20-30 min to let it drain completely. Add the new oil in and wait 5-10 minutes for it to fully reach the oil pan and start it
This video was a life saver!!! My fan ran all night and drained my battery…I immediately searched RUclips for a video on what the issue was. Your instructions where very detailed , exact and easy to follow. My nephew who is a beginner at auto work, was able to follow your instructions a fix easily. I didn’t have time to order the part needed it immediately, part was $170 at Auto Zone, compared to $30 on Amazon But that still save a ton of cash by skipping the dealership on this one! Thanks again

Would you recommend using the red slide and the negative post next to the battery to jump start the vehicle I've tried to jump start connecting it directly on top of the battery and all it does is turn on the lights it won't crank on

Great video! I have a question that i believe you'll be able to answer. At time stamp 4:44 the yellow wire that comes out of the plug of the alternator with a white one. The yellow wire on my truck is not connected to anything, and the alternator isn't charging my battery. I can't seem to find where the yellow wire goes? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I just had all 4 corners replaced and the car still rides rougher than expected? it's not clunking when i go over a bump anymore but I believe it should ride smoother than it does. any clue why that would be?

My sockets got stuck on the lug nuts
I had to throw away a few and put some new ones. The aluminum on the top of the steel is for cosmetics and some time they expands.

@@jacobdunnohew23 with my car I just used a needle nose pliers and after I got down to the steel parts, I think 🤔 it was a 17mm if I am not mistaken, good luck 🍀

Hi, how do you go by Jacking in the rear end up, they say it's a certain way you have to Jack those cars.Up do you let all the air out the suspension before you jack it up?
I want to change my rear shocks but I'm kind of afraid don't want no level control light to come on after i'm done with the job.
Very mechanically. Inclined looks very easy, but don't wanna have a problem with jacking it up.
@@shakur146 you should not, but having more than one jack is a plus
Instead of putting the Nico boost on the actual cables, can you put the positive one on the positive where that red slide right next to the strut in front of the battery, not the strut under the car obviously , and the negative on the post? Keep them connected then take battery out

Thanks, not a lot of information on XTS. Some notes for the AWD version: Remove the Axle nut, remove the knuckle bolts doing the bottom long bolt FIRST so you have support because it will be rusted in there. To remove bottom long bolt, remove the nut, then breaker bar the Bolt until it breaks free from Lower Control Arm bolt sleeve. You will hear a SNAP. Loosen the other knuckle fasteners now to get a bit of wiggle room. Do NOT keep wrenching the bolt if you see the rearward knuckle bushing "Cross" twisting, you will tear the bushing and open another world of hurt. After its "free", try a punch and hammer or air hammer on the bolt bottom. If that doesnt work, put the nut back on till its flush with bottom of bolt, and then sledgehammer it. If THAT doesnt work, you will need to cut that bolt. Sawzall is the tool. Remove the knuckle and then press or drill the bolt remains out of the control arms and knuckle and bushing sleeves. CLEAN all those holes!! Use a spiral wire brush in a drill. Put anti seize or grease in the bushing sleeves and especially the long lower control arm bolt sleeve. MOST of the nuts/bolts are 111 ft-lbs. Strongly suggest cut 1/2 inch off the camber bolts. Take it out, put the camber nut on the bolt, thread it down an inch or so, then cut 1/2 inch off the threads. Grind a slight taper on the threads, unthread the nut to reform the threads. You will thank yourself when reinstalling. Bearing/hub = assemble and torque it to the knuckle while its off the car. Wire wheel or flap disc the inner "race" of the knuckle, grease or anti-seize before installing hub/bearing. NEW torque-to-yield bolts = 66 ft-lbs first pass, then 75 DEGREES second pass. There is NO room to get to the bolt heads with the CV axle installed. Clean and Grease the splines inside the hub and on the CV axle before assembling. Be sure Wheel Speed Sensor does not get grease or metal bits or contaminants on it. Raise the lower control arm to ride height with jack once its all assembled BEFORE torquing the Knuckle fasteners. Be SURE to fasten the Wheel Speed Sensor wire properly to the control arm, use zipties or cable clips. The new control arm does not come with new cable clips. Wheel lug nuts = 111 ft-lbs. Take a shower, go to the eye doctor and ear doctor to get the sand and rust out of the holes in your head, and curse having to do the other side next. Stay gold.

@@AllAboutCarzz I appreciate that quick response, I had to change out my rear control arms on my AWD xts, went to get an alignment which was gonna cost $300, all for them to tell me…I need a drivers side inner and outter tie rod and two New Front struts in order for them to do a proper alignment 🙄. So im ordering these struts, tie rods and sway link ends.
Excellent… 38 dollar fix. My fan was only running on one side ( there are two) and it was coming on at high speed and then cycling. The new module… both came on… on a cool engine at low speed!! Thank you!!! Carmen

I have a 2013 XTS Luxury. I have to say it's a money pit. Blind spot detection module, power steering module, can't keep a rear passenger brake light diode in it for more than a few months, should've came with two sets of cv axles and hubs as a consolation for buying it. Kept blowing the right rear air bag because of a leveling sensor for the air system. I am a Cadillac dude all the way! I'm gonna tell you, do not buy one of these. My 2011 CTS, just drive it. Do the service on it and it's good to go never had one fucking problem. This XTS has a new problem every 2 weeks and that is not an exaggeration. Hell I had to put a new ECM in it because the genius engineers at GM decided it would be best mounted right next to the engine where it gets all the heat. Maybe I got a lemon I don't know.

Have a 2018 XTS, worst car I've ever owned, now has 180K KM, rears struts(2ed set), front struts(2ed set) brakes/rotors every autumn, Air bag (2ed on driver side, 1 passenger side), level sensors, stabilizer link drivers side. Battery ground wire faulty. CUE system, on 3ed LCD screen and now needs another. Caddi guy here also, have a 68 Deville, and is 1000x the car these new POS are. I would be to ashamed to sell it to anyone; hope someone will steal it or hit it just to get rid of it.
My '11 CTS sedan and my '13 CTS coupe I have barely had any problems with. Timing on the sedan btI didn't get to drill out the pcv valve before the milage got too high.
@@staceyd72 Wow 😮 well said, you probably have seen some of my videos on this car 🚗 like I said before “I believe it is too heavy for the parts” I have 135k on this one ☝️ however, I am only on the first set of replacement of all those parts you mentioned. I made so many videos and still have more to release, but I am waiting to make a conclusion. Thanks 🙏

They were trying to guess which technology would be successful.
Only thing I would do is torque everything. Burned bearings up yrs ago dealer gave me the wrong torque on front bearing. Otherwise great
