Applications of the form for the first black belt, from the Danish Taekwondo Demonstration Team performance at the taekwondo summer camp in Brande, Denmark. July 15th 2015.
Great! You rarely see applications for Poomsae that are this thoughtful. I would love to see more of this kind.
Thanks, we will take that into consideration. We try showing all aspects of taekwondo and we are happy that you like seeing poomsae applications!
Performance is great. For those looking for practical application please ensure you already know and execute Koryo properly before criticising. I insist, perform is simply great ... and helpful
it look pretty good thus, but the application need to be apply properly, but good to see that people are thinking about the reason we do the movement
Very cool! We like this! Great to see TKD/Korean applications.
Very enjoyable to watch

interesting application. Have you ever thought of trying the turn on bar 2 as a possible takedown (the part where ypu turn 180° in front stance to double midle block)? Ive thought about it but never tried to see if it could be applied that way.
Yes. It's possible. Once you grab a leg, you push it down while turning around to throw.
without being too critical, 2 applications are incorrect, one is groin strike which actually leads to a throw, 2nd is the so called energy movement is infact a rear bear hug defence, someone performs bearhug both arms come up to release from grasp. These have been lost through teachings, I was lucky to be taught by Grand Master David Jordinson RIP
Thank you for your response! We believe that there are several applications for the techniques, and that it is up to the practitioners to test which applications best suits their bodytype and natural movement.
+DTDT, Danish Taekwondo Demonstration Team thumbs up
Thank you MrLottoLee1, you knowledge is gold to us, and much needed in the world of martial arts! Thank you again!

Nice
you are trying to strike with block moves :(
ruclips.net/video/9IGkhxM9hVo/видео.html gives you another insight on blocks
I noticed the finishing blocks as strikes as well. But in reality, no TKD sequence ends with a block, so their interpretation is correct. A Maki done well can break an arm, break a jaw or crush a cartoid artery. It just depends on how you train them.
@@alanmodimages I was always taught you should be able to break a bone with a block, we do conditioning of forearms, love it 😀
lindoooo lindoo parabéns a equipe.
Wow 😲Nice
Very cool!
Applicacion of taeback??
If I could do this irl I would be the king of my community
Anyways just think about the practice of these guys
😶 noooooo most of these are wrong, you're striking with a block and doing judo with a counter-attack which meant for an incoming kick
They are right
Poomsae is flexible. And and you can turn every meaning to something else
And just because it means A doesnt alwasy stay A, you must improvised and find a way

@@gerardomarcelino9839 this is taekwondo, not karate. This might be AXION taekwondo, but it sure isn't actual taekwondo. There are better moves for different situations. Of course a form (kata or poomsae or anything else) doesn't dictate how one should fight in a real hostile encounter, but it doesn't have to. All I am saying is that the application of the moves presented is wrong in the traditional mandate of Tae Kwon Do (as it's known globally).
You wish!
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😍😍😍😍😍😍
1:45 if you don't do something with sweep or else , it will so much useless. It can't be done with only hands.... I ever do that thing and ends with losing . So be careful. Yes you hurt them, Yes you push them, but it's not guarantee.
But they changed the meaning of the moves :D ,
Poomsae is flexible. And just because the move is A doesnt mean it always A in fight
Improvised
that was very cool. different.
Thank you! We try showing different aspects of taekwondo, and we are happy that you enjoy it.
1:27 The middle block is used to block an attack not to strike
im not saying that their application is correct but if u really look at it the "blocks" are really not meant for blocking a lot of traditional martial arts has this sometimes its application is lost through time
The inside middle block is not a block, or a strike. Traditionally it is a way to practice standing arm bars, without a partner. The chambered hand is grasping their wrist, and pulling the arm to waist, and the bone of you forearm, is applying pressure to their elbow, and tricep. To straighten the arm at the elbow, tor the break. Most of the "so called blocks" are actually joint locks, bars, and throws. Lazy teachers, and Mcdojos are the reason that nobody is taught this anymore. All of my Taekwondo students know the original, and effective applications, of every single movement in their Poomsae. Its sad, that even this video is very wrong. They dont know the real applications, so they just make stuff up, to fill in the blanks.
It can be a striking technique and can be an arm breaking technique.

1:49 dudo mucho que en la calle alguien salte para ayudarte a tirarlo...
Did he used knee strike in 0:03 ? 🤔
Yes,we have that thing in WT Taekwondo but if you want know, we can’t use that strike in the sparring competition because of the rule. So,if you want to know more about WT Taekwondo ,I think you should watch poomsae and also watch how to apply it. I hope you understand it

Seguramente 2:05
Definições desses golpes em luta real não funcionaria , funciona só na tela de um cinema. Fake
Good to see a WT practitioner actually knowing that kicking above their own face height is ridiculous... oh wait, there she goes, kicking at some imaginary giant. (Insert triple facepalm here coz one even two are just NOT enough)
Yes yes, you are completely right, keyboard "warrior" 🙄, if people practice kicks above their head is for improve their body control. When you are able to kick that height with such facility, you could also kick at head, torso or legs as easy as walking.
@@alaing.b.5421 not just a keyboard warrior mate. I up WT people allll the time in and out of the Dojang about this stuff. It’s gymnastics, not Taekwondo.
@@jetsparrow3171 okay okay, you're the supreme ruler and have rights to tell everybody what they have to do.
If that is useless for you, it doesn't mean that will be for someone else, just let people train however they like and think that works for them.
And if your kicks training is not above head and works for you, glad for you! you're free to train however you like :D
Stupid applications that are not even in the form. So tired of this.
