After watching your video I went to Lowes and picked up the Mold Armor siding cleaner. I had posted on CL looking for someone to power wash one side of my house. Prices ranged from $100-$200. Upon returning from Lowes sprayed product on siding and within 4 minutes you could see the difference. Did the whole side in less than an hour. Siding looks new! After I came in I noticed a response from CL that a guy could do the side for $150, I replied I just did it myself for $10. Thanks so much for the video!
Here's a lot cheaper way to do it. Just go to the dollar store and buy some vinegar. There are no harmful chemicals needed. Just Mix 70 percent water and 30 percent white vinegar together in a garden sprayer and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with the hose. The vinegar can cut through virtually any stain or mark - even mold and mildew.
I've been using this product for a few years now. LOVE IT !! I used to get out the ladders and pressure washer and declare war on the mold and mildew !! Now.... I simply spray and rinse !! Getting ready to do my house again this year. I find it's less expensive to buy on-line (EBay) and it comes right to the house !! Doesn't get much easier than that !! Thanks for a great video !! With the low water pressure, it just proves even more just how good this stuff really is. Practically effortless results !!
@@Byronwi, Not really ... I tried a 50/50 mix of bleach and water before I bought this stuff. Didn't get NEARLY the same result. Now I use 60 second house wash, a little less cost and does an AWESOME job !!
Best money I ever spent. We started with a competitor "spray-and-walk-away" product. Worthless...so saw your video and decided to try it. UNBELIEVABLE!!! The grime was flowing off the siding while I was spraying it. Thanks for saving me from climbing a 20 foot ladder again.
Great product. Two things: First, lightly spray your nearby lawn and bushes to dampen before using the substance and again after it is all done. Second. Always spray from the overlap side so you don't spray water into the gap behind the overlapped siding.
I have been using this product now for the past 8 years. I clean my vinyl siding each spring. It looks brand new every time I clean it. I suggest doing it on a cloudy day as you want the solution to stay on the siding for 10 minutes before rinsing it off . On a bright sunny day, it evaporates a bit too quickly. Love this product and how well it works.
So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.
Good afternoon Amy, this video helped me a lot and saved me a lot of time. My house has some brick walls and also some vinyl walls. This did the job on both! My girlfriend has made hints that she wanted them cleaned, now she has a surprise waiting for her when she comes home ❤ Thanks and Take care

Mild detergent in a bucket with a long handled brush works just as well and better for the environment. The close up of the product indicates the active ingredient is sodium hypochlorite. That is the active ingredient in household bleach.

My neighbors in the back never clean anything, and the fence is disgusting. Power washing isn’t an option because it’s not our property. I’ll try this when we put our house on the market. Thanks for the demo.
If you look to the right I don't no if that's her chimney the colors of the stone but when it rains hard that's where that that build up probably comes from.
That is black mold with your everyday green mildew on your siding. I know, I was in the business for 10 years with 30 years of experience behind me. What you can do is mix a little bleach and water together a 50/50 mix and spray it on, then let it set for awhile without drying, then rinse it all down, you will see a big difference. The problem is that side of your house doesn't get any Sun . It will come back over time unless you use a product to prevent the mold from returning.
I get this on the back of my house also and it gets sun from mid day to early evening. This side of my house only gets morning sun. I used to just get a ladder, some soapy water and a scrub brush and clean it off, but one year I injured my shoulder and couldn't move it much, so I looked for an alternative that wouldn't kill my plants (I have quite a few in the back of the house) and found this stuff.
There is a product that is made by the Flood Company, I forget the name it has been a long time. It blocks the mold from coming back for few years. I used it on a customers house one year and two years later it was still clear. He use to get the mold every year. You mix it up and the spray it from a pump up sprayer and let it dry. It goes on clear like water. You just let it dry that way. I think it was called Mold preventer or something like that.

I used that too and it worked great but I ran out. So, I went to Walmart for more and they were out of it. So, I made my own using the empty green spray bottle. Just add some low sudsing laundry detergent, I used a cap full, then fill the rest of the container with Clorox. Follow the same instructions to apply and rinse. It might take a couple of treatments, but it all comes off. I watched a guy that does this professionally. He said you need a detergent and mold cleaner/killer/remover. That would be laundry soap and Clorox. You can try laundry soap and Oxy Clean, but soap and Clorox works best. Don’t try Clorox and Oxy Clean. It reacts when combined and never stops foaming. Keep your green spray bottle. It mixes about the right amount of water from the hose with what you put in the spray bottle at full strength.
Oh this is great! Fantastic! I wonder if bleach & water would get the same results? When the pressure washer guy did our home 3 years ago I smelled bleach. The mold hasn’t returned as of yet. I wonder how often this needs to be done with this product? How soon did the mold return?

Good Video Amy. Yep! Three Thumbs Up! This product really does work. You'll need to purchase your first jug with the spray applicator but then look for the larger size refill jugs. Will not affect shrubs and plants but just to be safe I always spray water on them before I start the Mold Armor. You may want to play with the different spray patterns but if you have a 2 story house you'll need the stream setting especially if your on a well with a pressure tank. And don't be chincy. This stuff is cheap. I lay it on thick, nice and soapy bleach. I always have to go over the tough spots as necessary. Buy 2-3 large refill jugs so you don't run out in the middle of working. Store any leftover in the garage for next spring. No climbing up on high extension ladders and no scrubbing necessary.

Get a hose end sprayer. Mix bleach and dawn. Hose it on. Let it set. Rinse. Repeat as necessary. It will continue to remove the mold overnight, even after rinsing. Cheap and easy. About 10 parts bleach to 1 part dawn, adjust as needed.
I use that stuff and its very good. You can also refill that bottle when it runs out just unscrew the plastic thing from the bottle and buy the Home Armor concentrated cleaner in a big bottle at Lowes or Home Depot and fill it up again. By the way that crap all over your house is actually from the trees. I notice there are trees all near your house and they have sap and other stuff that runs off of them every time it rains
The next time you clean you need to start at the bottom and work your way up due to the fact if you start at the top the surface tension of the vinyl will cause the cleaner to collect into concentrated streams super cleaning and you'll never get it matched. I know from experience =used to work at a health care as a custodian

You can make your own and use a pump sprayer or one of those things that attaches to your hose for it. It's just bleach/water/soap(dawn hand soap or gain detergent).

When u spray take precautions to move pets and stand down wind and possible eye gloves and mask leave product or bleach solution for 10 to 15 mins, then wash off the residue. The waiting time is important to killoff the algae cells

Great review, thanks for taking the time to make this video It has helped me a lot in my search for a product. I have a similar mildew problem but on a smaller scale. Will be back to let you know if it works...
I had the same problem with aluminum siding that was white a green discoloration would appear I'm not sure what it is but the solution I found was get a pump sprayer pour bleach in the pump sprayer spread on the Green shortly after that take the holes and rinse it off
Yea, it's a good helper but in bad cases, you will have to get the ladder out with a bleach detergent mixture and a scrub job, then you can blast the mess off with a good pressure hose.
I bet it didnt.. I bet the dirt and grime was on your siding for so long that the sun discoloured it.. Cause the suns rays cant get through the grime and gunk. So it oxidizes the siding around it. Then when you wash it all off you have newer siding underneith. And also then the sun baked faded siding that was next to it. Which makes it look blotchy and discoloured once the wall was clean again
David Billy, also, 50/50 bleach and water is strong enough to cause eye damage; and even if you wet down your lawn and your nearby plants beforehand with a hose, the bleach will probably do some damage to them as well. Bleach is horrid stuff for the environment, it actually creates dioxin when it comes into contact with cellulose and wood and plant materials. Better to use an oxygen bleach, which breaks down into water and oxygen and is far safer for your plants and for the environment. Not to mention that it's much gentler for your skin and your eyes.
@@jcobbs4523 Used it today and I have to say it was a wonderful product. I do have to go back for stubborn parts but man, it was satisfying to solve this issue!! I recommend a face mask too!
I thought at first this stuff was bull but I like your video 👍 I went to Lowes and gave it a try, I give it a solid 9 out of 10 👏👏👏 On bad spots I would use a brush but it works very well 👌
I am trying to do something similar but the top of the house is like 32’ high...is there a way to get the product up there short of a very tall ladder...not comfortable with heights.
I'll throw my two cents in. I was at a flea market last week and saw an extension wand for a power washer. The wand telescoped to an 18' length. Maybe you could rent a setup to do your house
Use the active ingredient… sodium hypochlorite a in commercial grade 10% The cost is only $3.84 per gallon one gallon would clean that wall 5 times faster and 20 times more cost effective. You can buy the product at Close under the name Pool essentials Chlorinating liquid.
This is 5 months after your comment but I hope you receive this. After you make the solution (either in a 1:1 or 4:1 depending on surface material), how would you spray the solution besides using a downstream injector on a pressure washer?
When I use it at my home, It blows out a LOT more soap than I am seeing here. Maybe it is a bad nozel or something. But seems as if it isnt streaming a ot of soap, but it can be the camera and I am not seeing it as well.
You are correct. I bought six bottles the other day from Home Depot. Four had the black nozzle shown in this video, and the other two had a white nozzle. White nozzle is very powerful, and removed it and used it on the other bottles. It sprayed strong and high.. you could see the suds when it hit the vinyl.. The black nozzle was weak and sprayed like this video.
Man this stuff ain't nothing but the truth I fussed my wife out for ordering it because I knew it wasn't going to work like they say it would but it came in and I tried it just to prove a point to her and I was very surprised been using it ever since..and I did apologize to her 😁
Does work good BUT CANNOT BE USED ON LADDER. It's assumed if you house is high and your water pressure is low you'll try (like any contractor with pressure washer) to go up a ladder. HOWEVER: this hose-attach venturi product dispenser is DANAGEROUS because the nipple un-expectly pops off if the hose pulls on it (meaning the cuff directly after the hose threads on the dispenser: it snaps on and off). a snap-off won't damage the dispenser but likely could cause you to fall from a ladder. MY ADVICE IS: IF YOU HAVE 2 tall floors (say, over 15'), get a different dedicated product dispenser (a dispenser that is threaded that has no loose ends and sturdy handle), rather than this disposable one (and pour the green stuff in there).
Thank you for sharing. My vinyl siding looks similar to yours. Going in the morning to get this product. Thank you again! Oh and @Intelligence looks sexy, we all know how you feel about the products you use, thanks anyway.
I used bleach and dawn dish detergent and a pump sprayer and left it clean on a cloudy day for half hour and then hosed it off .1 cup bleach and half cup dawn in a gallon sprayer
@@Ssmith2405 thank you and if you use it in a stronger form on pressure treated wood it will take the grey away .I wet everything first with a hose or wait for a light rainy day
I did my best to avoid spraying my plants. I have hostas growing very close to the house under this wall. They had no damage at all, nor did the weeds near them. If you are concerned about overspray, you could put plastic over the plants while you're applying it.

Keep your green spray bottle. It mixes about the right amount of water from the hose with what you put in the spray bottle at full strength.
Thank you. That's very helpful
Oh this is great! Fantastic! I wonder if bleach & water would get the same results? When the pressure washer guy did our home 3 years ago I smelled bleach. The mold hasn’t returned as of yet. I wonder how often this needs to be done with this product? How soon did the mold return?
Here's a lot cheaper way to do it. Just go to the dollar store and buy some vinegar. There are no harmful chemicals needed. Just Mix 70 percent water and 30 percent white vinegar together in a garden sprayer and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. The vinegar can cut through virtually any stain or mark - even mold and mildew.
60 second house wash is GREAT also ...just sayin'
It works amazing. Love that brand.

go get some 10% pool shock, dilute with water and some dish soap, and spray on with a pack pack sprayer. works almost instantly. then rinse.
Can't hit 2nd or 3rd floor with your method though. However if that bottle could be opened and put the bleach in, that might work
This is a GREAT product. I use it all the time.
thanks so much for posting I'm going to buy it
Thanks for the review! Going to try as well
Very good it seems to work. Thanks.
Wow cool thanks I'll be buying one for my home
Get a hose end sprayer. Mix bleach and dawn. Hose it on. Let it set. Rinse. Repeat as necessary. It will continue to remove the mold overnight, even after rinsing. Cheap and easy. About 10 parts bleach to 1 part dawn, adjust as needed.
wont bleach stain siding?
@@chukwuemekaonyema2716 not vinyl siding. It will be fine.
Looks great. Thanks for the review.
Or you could just buy bleach and a few drops of dish soap. Same thing
The next time you clean you need to start at the bottom and work your way up due to the fact if you start at the top the surface tension of the vinyl
will cause the cleaner to collect into concentrated streams super cleaning and you'll never get it matched. I know from experience =used to work at a health care
as a custodian
Thanks for this video. I’m getting a home soon and this is great info
I swear by this. It sometimes takes 2 applications, but it works great

The waiting time is important to killoff the
algae cells

Great review, thanks for taking the time to make this video It has helped me a lot in my search for a product. I have a similar mildew problem but on a smaller scale. Will be back to let you know if it works...
I had the same problem with aluminum siding that was white a green discoloration would appear I'm not sure what it is but the solution I found was get a pump sprayer pour bleach in the pump sprayer spread on the Green shortly after that take the holes and rinse it off
It helps to read the direction first
Yes, yes it does.
Yep good stuff use it all the time!!!
Dawn soap works good too it don't harm your plants your grass are you simple green it's good too
Yea, it's a good helper but in bad cases, you will have to get the ladder out with a bleach detergent mixture and a scrub job, then you can blast the mess off with a good pressure hose.
this product discolored my house!!
Oh no! What kind of siding does your house have?
I bet it didnt..
I bet the dirt and grime was on your siding for so long that the sun discoloured it..
Cause the suns rays cant get through the grime and gunk. So it oxidizes the siding around it.
Then when you wash it all off you have newer siding underneith. And also then the sun baked faded siding that was next to it.
Which makes it look blotchy and discoloured once the wall was clean again
Great job miss you got it done😉
Of course you have to realize that bleach is very hard on all plastics and vinyls
Thank you! It's on my list to buy!
You could also use bleach and water. Buy a backpack pump; spray and rinse.
@@jcobbs4523 Used it today and I have to say it was a wonderful product. I do have to go back for stubborn parts but man, it was satisfying to solve this issue!! I recommend a face mask too!
.5 gal BLEACH + 3 gals of water + little squeeze of DAWN liquid = inexpensive solution that does the BEST job cleaning vinyl siding !
Mine didn’t come with the hose thing but let’s see how it turn out 😌
Baby that has been up there for more then two years. ..
Lol
Tom, try like 5 years
Pretty good job without scrubbing
Well that worked nice! 👍😊
Does it harm the grass
Definitely will try it thanks
I thought at first this stuff was bull but I like your video 👍 I went to Lowes and gave it a try, I give it a solid 9 out of 10 👏👏👏 On bad spots I would use a brush but it works very well 👌
Giving a like because you made me laugh. Thank you and have a great day!
I am trying to do something similar but the top of the house is like 32’ high...is there a way to get the product up there short of a very tall ladder...not comfortable with heights.
Don't buy this crap
It's just bleach
Thank you
Thank You Ma’am
Also frightened by bugs and traffic.
Nice job.!
Try Outdoor Cleaner for better results!!! NO SCRUBBING
Thank you for sharing. My vinyl siding looks similar to yours. Going in the morning to get this product. Thank you again!
Oh and @Intelligence looks sexy, we all know how you feel about the products you use, thanks anyway.
Daaaaaaaaaymn! It works!
Will this product remove the chalky oxidation from vinyl siding?
I don't know. I don't represent the product... Just people that can't reach up to scrub.
@@intelligenceissexy3733 Aren't you tired yet of posting this same message more than 50 times on this thread? I'm tired of seeing it.
You could use a pressure washer.
Thank you!
Very good!
Like 1..cool share my friend 👌
I used bleach and dawn dish detergent and a pump sprayer and left it clean on a cloudy day for half hour and then hosed it off .1 cup bleach and half cup dawn in a gallon sprayer
sissy murphy Smart woman
@@Ssmith2405 thank you and if you use it in a stronger form on pressure treated wood it will take the grey away .I wet everything first with a hose or wait for a light rainy day
Works ok but still needed to scrub.
Will this product work on brick? Has anyone ever used it on brick, if so what were the results like?
Does it damage your grass or plants
I did my best to avoid spraying my plants. I have hostas growing very close to the house under this wall. They had no damage at all, nor did the weeds near them. If you are concerned about overspray, you could put plastic over the plants while you're applying it.
@@AmyMable thank you😊
WTI,,,,just clean it and people can figure out the rest I'm sure, you can come do my house,,good job girl
how high did it spray
My water pressure was low at the time. It's all dependent on your water pressure and how far you can spray with your hose.
Yes, clean from the bottom of the house up...
This stuff has alot of bleach. Wondering how bad it is on the vinyl. Afraid it will degrade it and make it brittle over time.
Hey Thanks 😎
Wet and Forget will do it to
I tried this and the connector to the bottle came apart. Now I have a mess.
hose connector adaptor kept disconnecting from the bottle....anyone else have this problem.?...i am returning for another
That stuff works great for only being shot through a garden hose and it not being bleach.very impressive
Sorry George, but the main active ingredient (stated on the bottle) is sodium hypochlorite which is household bleach.
The only thing that works that good on mold and mildew is bleach.
