In Forbidden Lies, filmmaker Anna Broinowski investigates the case of Norma Khouri Bagain, a Jordanian women who wrote the best selling Forbidden Love, a supposedly nonfiction book about an 'honor killing' that allegedly took place in Amman. Forbidden Love book was interpreted by many Jordanians, including prominent women, as an misrepresentation of Islam. As the book's errors and impossibilities were pointed out, Khouri's story and reputation began to fall apart.

so she met a woman, this "Dhalia", in Jordan in 2005 and then wrote a fictionalised childhood of the two of them growing up and forming a buisness together, while including elements of truth about this woman's hardships, and exaggerating everything else. This is not autobiographical fiction like Norma is trying to imply, where she's embellished the truth, but a fictional autobiography, as in, a life created by her imagination...

I agree with you, about the pregnancy par.t However, I believe her to some extent cause the book sounded so true. She knew someone close that it happened to, and like she said she had to change some facts to protect identity

@DanHadan She probably would have been asked to change locations and names. I believe what she was signing the contract for was swearing that the events of the novel themselves were true. So she was lying either way but she probably isn't lying about changing names, locations and dates.

yeah right, its all lies n lies no truth exists n this story, I feel bad for her after revealing the truth, they really made her stupid, fake, liar author in front of her readers.
