  • Buffy Sainte-Marie gave a very special koncert at Skagen Festival on july 2nd, 2011
In my humble opinion the concert of the year (or decade or century) in Skagen
I hope I will be in posession of the same social awareness and warmth and caring for the world and the people in it, as Buffy is, when I reach her age.

LOVE LOVE BUFFY. Saw her in concert in Melbourne Vic Aus in 2015 and met her and the band after the show, and had some photos taken and she grabbed my hand, she was so kind and lovely.

What is fantastic about Buffy : this is song about her life , and every single word is truth. It's very rare , it's inner integrity. That's why I love her, and her songs from the very first time I've heard "Universal Soldier".

Custer's Last Stand, also known as the Battle of the Little Bighorn, took place on June 25-26, 1876, in Montana Territory, USA. It was a significant conflict during the American Indian Wars, where Lieutenant Colonel George Armstrong Custer and his 7th Cavalry faced a coalition of Lakota Sioux, Cheyenne, and Arapaho warriors led by Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse. Custer's ill-fated decision to divide his forces and engage in a reckless attack led to a devastating defeat for the U.S. Army. The Native American forces overwhelmed Custer's troops, resulting in the death of Custer and nearly all of his men. The battle became a symbol of Native American resistance against the encroachment of white settlers and remains a defining moment in the history of the American West.

A Swedish girl, Lena Andersson age 15 & born 1955, got famous with a Swedish version of this song, but she sure didn’t sound like a country girl & the lyrics are definitely no way near the original...
