An excellent example of someone who marries into a family, and a culture, and embraces the experience rather than trying to make everyone else around them change.
This is such a good point. Esp marrying into a royal family, you have to learn so much and adapt to their culture, customs and language, its a sign of respect to your new country and its people. And I think the people probably love her for it to. I certainly admire her, learning a new language is hard esp when you have to give speeches and interviews, it must have been nerve wracking at first.
She’s definitely the first person I thought of when Meghan started whining. I was like… it’s not like you had to learn an entire new language and completely different culture. Mary never whined
I would agree with her father. CP Mary _has_ a little bit of a Danish accent when she speaks English. It's quite charming and also very natural - she's been immersed in that language for several years now. A sure sign of "living in both worlds". 😊
Yes, she is very charismatic for sure. It is easy to see how the Crown Prince fell for her. She is beautiful, intelligent, dignified and all the good things. ❤️ She is a great role model.
Thank you very much for posting so much about the Danish Royal Family. They are my favorites royals. My hope is that via your postings people discover this amazing family and all the wonderful work they do for relevant and important causes. IMO they are the epitome of what a royal family can and should be. A royal family that modernizes and adapts to the times while still maintaining their history and traditions. Plus they seem so relatable and down to earth. They're a joy to follow.
I'm a dane and I'm proud of Queen Mary, the way she has embraced Denmark and her support of her husband HM kong Frederik X. She is obviously a very intelligent, thoughtful and clever person.

When I was searching RUclips and I kept hearing Mary Donaldson's name coming up so of course I became interested because my mother's maiden name is Donaldson. That's probably a common name.
Im pretty sure thats the american pronunciation of it, and it seems danes learn a mix with majority being american style and shes imiatating to fit in.
@@randomdude4669I don't think so. A great many people in UK also get this wrong, saying PronOUnciation, despite the word being spelled pronUNciation. ..... which I find somewhat ironic😂.
@@Creteliz The two words PronOUNce and pronUnciation clearly have different second syllable spellings and sounds (one stressed and one unstressed - which partly explains the problem) but a lot of people don't listen to, or don't learn, new words - and hardly anyone checks his/her own pronunciation with a dictionary! @@randomdude4669no I don’t believe it is that as I do not know one person from the US who says “pronounce-iation”. To do so is an error in, well, pronunciation of the word. Which is not surprising when you become so immersed into all of things Danish as she was.
The Australian accent has to be the most malleable accent on this earth, ive heard it converted to american, english, scottish and now with a danish accent on top 😂
To be fair, when I first heard her speak publicly I didn't think of her as Aussie. I always thought her Australian-English accent sounded on the posh side. Then over the years, her Aussie-English sounded more European-English, obviously because she has had to immerse herself completely in Danish language. She's integrated for love and won hearts in Denmark so she deserves the accolades.

The monarch is Margrethe II, not “11”. Regnal numbers are expressed in Roman numerals.
