Bias makes sense, I’ve never tried it. I have a quilt from my Grandma & the binding is coming apart just like the one you showed. Your thimble is pretty & elegant.

Thank you, give the bias binding a try. I just fold my fabric into a triangle and cut along the long fold and keep cutting strips.
