Kristine Fisher rigs it up good. With screw lock and a weight added . I tried it and had instant success
The issue I had with screw lock was once it pulls on any vegetation it tends to never go back on but I have fished it that way for sure
Nice video. Where do you get that rig?
They sell them at dicks sporting goods and tackle warehouse it works well with a keitech or small swim bait or fluke as well
@@binyaoutdoors that's what I thought they also have one with a willow blade on it, I have mine rigged with a weedless wacky jig, but I like your idea with the added flash an vibration, new subscriber.
@@jtoth1234summer The other thing you can do, but I haven't really tested it very much is you can do the Gilly the smaller one if you get a big enough hook with like an underspin but you really need to glue the ghillie to the head because it will slide right back off even with the best of keepers
@@binyaoutdoors your idea is the best with the blade forward, an under spin would get stuck under the body. I fish my Keitechs with under spins a lot, but I like the willow blade because it's a lot cheaper
They sell them with an ewg hook already, no need to rig
Are you sure your talking about the Gilly? None that i have bought came pre rigged. The ewg style is just one of alot of ways to rig these as well.
@@binyaoutdoors big 5 has them. I seen them on Amazon as well. Check it out. I have one.
@@pikeyboyfoo I would but funny thing is I don't catch rigging that way I have 3 or so ways I have caught fish on them the ewg side rig just looks weird In water the bait wants to float sideways
