    With all of the metal work that has been done to the body, the lower A Pillars are the last of the big projects to complete on the Volkswagen Bug The Sickxty build. The rest is a bunch of small patch panels that we will tackle on the next video.
    One more step forward on the #vdubrun21
    Using the Yeswelder Mig 250 pro helps make this job easier by having an inverter welder vs an old traditional transformer.

    I'm a cat guy. lived through the departure of a couple of feline companions. Always sad times saying farewell to our 4 legged family members. I do believe that animals have a soul though, and live also in happy memories.
    On the happy theme: The SickXty is looking great! Starting to become a whole car instead of a "hole" car:)
    That 250 welder is looking good (sure beats the hell out of my old arc welder...yes, I arc weld sheet metal!).

      I’m an animal guy in general, love dogs but we also have 2 cats. Our 4 legged family members do mean the world to us and she is living on even though she isn’t physically there any longer.
      Thanks man, she is coming together more and more! I’m starting to get a second wind and wanting to work on it every second that I have but the heat is killing me lol

I have a dog that I've trained as a therapy dog which is suppost to mean that he helps patients in the hospital or kids having trouble reading feel more confident and be happier. You’re doing a great job; this car will be solid. About your doggie I am very sad to hear it. We love our pets with all our might and as many people before me have said they are bona fide family members. You can find comfort in knowing that you gave her the best life you could and that she had it “made in the shade” with you as her daddy. In time you and your wife can find another one that you’ll love just as much but in a different way; like when you have multiple kids. Pets have the power to steal our hearts every time. Animal shelters are great alternatives to find these family members.

    • @VWJawbreaker
      @VWJawbreaker  3 года назад +2

      Thanks for the support, on its ways than one today.
      You nailed it on the head, she wasn’t a pet but a family member that meant everything to us. We were lucky enough to rescue her years back and have her a second chance at having a loving home. When the time is right we will find another that needs a loving home that will come into our lives at the right time. She found us, the next one will also.
      Thank you again.

      Losing a pet is just like losing a family member. It took us all longer to heal than anticipated however we ended up getting another dog a few months ago. She’s filling the void and helping us move on, we’re much happier now as well.
      Sorry for your loss, ot sucks they don’t live longer especially since they are such a huge part of the family.

    First off, my sincere condolences for your loss. Losing a pet is no fun. It's probably better to grieve before getting too deep into a project like this one.
    I didn't see you do anything about the rust that was evident on the inside of the panel. If you don't do anything about the current rust, it will continue to devour your prized car. This will make all the work you have done for not. At the very least, kill the rust with POR15 or similar. When there is rust within a closed area, it will continue to spread. Thanks for posting!

    • @VWJawbreaker
      @VWJawbreaker  2 года назад +1

      Thank you sir for your condolences.
      This has been an ongoing project for a while. The entire vehicle has been treated with ospho and it has been sprayed into all of the hard to reach places. This will stop things for now until it can be fully treated later down the road before primer and paint.

    WHen you did all that, how did you keep the body from flexing? The wooden jig holds it up nicely but didn't it bend? Nice welder!

    • @VWJawbreaker
      @VWJawbreaker  Год назад

      There’s metal bracing inside the car from the a pillar to the b pillar, side to side as well. The cart is only to hold the body off the ground and to move it around.

    • @VWJawbreaker
