It's wonderful as a parent watching your child develop a talent to this level but all the while maintain the enjoyment of just singing. Antonio's lower register is really starting to develop (watch out for future clips) but he still has this ability to reach very high and deliver with control as he has done here. @@johndelatorre4794 hello. Antonio has a wonderful voice. It's exemplary how effortless it is for him to reach the higher registrar/notes......at least he makes it look effortless! Does he sing in a boys' choir? If not, have/had you, or Antonio ever thought of having him join a boys' choir? There are many world renown boys' choirs I think would jump at the chance of having him as a member. The Vienna Boys' Choir take international boys, some even from Australia! Or even our own National Boys' Choir would find him perfect. He has a natural ability to perform, something Choir directors look for in possible future choristers. Wishing Antonio all the best in his future endeavours with his singing, wherever it may take him, and it will take him far. 🙂

Thanks William, that is already happening the growth in Antonio's lower register in the past 6 months has been huge and it sounds wonderful. He will be a treble for as long as he is but the next stage is equally exciting.

Antonio’s voice used to be thinner but I really like what I’m hearing here. The silvery treble is coming out.
Thanks Emmy, this recording is around 12 months old. The recording of How Great Thou Art is an indication of where his voice is heading, although he still has his treble voice for now.
I am also young sopran, confirming your voice really has long range and beautiful sound.

Lovely, but might be even better with a full-string orchestra coming in behind that amazing voice. It's a beautiful piece of music. One of Andrew Lloyd Webber's better confections, IMO.
I would love to sing with a string orchestra, maybe one day, it costs a lot of money to hire one. I have a lot of songs that I’d love to sing with strings.

Soy hombre, tengo 14 años y Soy Soprano y Barítono, estas características las tengo desde que tenía aproximadamente 9 años, así fue hasta que entre a la escuela secundaria y mi voz empezó a cambiar y ser inestable, y ya no tenía la voz soprano ni barítono, no fue hasta hace poco que entré a 3er grado de secundaria que pude volver a cantar opera, actualmente, soy capaz de cantar Queen of The Night que es la canción mas difícil para Sopranos y también puedo cantar Largo al Factótum muy cómodamente, poseo mas control sobre la voz barítono que la soprano, pero poco a poco voy mejorando, estoy pensando en inscribirme a clases de canto para poder mejorar mi canto y tener mas control sobre mi voz, el ver este tipo de videos de opera, me inspira a seguir entrenando mi voz para algún día poder cantar como ellos.

Very lovely Antonio. I have three grandsons in Australia and wish they would sing too, but there does not seem to be much opportunity in Australia for classical boys choirs.
Thankyou. There are no cathedral choirs where I live and there are only a few in the big cities. I wish I could be a chorister, but I will just continue with my solo singing, which I love and hopefully I will get to perform before an audience soon.
@@AntonioMusic, where abouts in Australia do you live? If you live in Victoria, there is the National Boys' Choir, and the Victorian Boy's Choir, both of whom do take boys from interstate. The Victorian Boys' Choir was founded by an Austrian, and for many years was run by a former member of the Vienna Boys' Choir (who, in the last 15 to 20 years have been accepting Boys from all round the world, including Australia). They are more classically trained. Wishing you the best in your future singing endeavours, wherever it may take you, and I will take you far. 🙂
@@namewithheldbygoogleforsec673 Hi there. You can't join the National Boys Choir if you don't live in Melbourne and I don't live anywhere near there. The Victorian Boys Choir is the same, you have to live in Melbourne, which is understandable as you need to go to the rehearsals. The closest boys choir to where I live is about a 6 hour round trip, so not an option.
@@AntonioMusic, I think Australia needs more boys choirs. Many countries, particularly in Europe have so many boys' choirs, one could almost see it as being a requirement for boys' and in some cases for children's choirs to be in one. It's a shame we don't focus on children's abilities as much as other countries do. Children are very talented, but we tend to focus on their other artistic abilities at older ages, or place more attention on their drawing abilities, or crafts. Not quite so much on singing. @@AntonioMusic Gracias por tu respuesta. Yo estoy en Cantabria (al norte, entre Asturias y el País Vasco). Alguna vez he viajado hasta el Sur, cerca (Jerez de la Frontera, Tarifa, Puente-Genil). Málaga y entorno lo visitamos un poco de pasada. (La próxima vez intentaré conocer el Pueblo.)
Soy maestro y ex director de Escolanías (una en Cantabria (foto) con premio nacionales e internacionales y otra en Madrid). La técnica de canto para niños la conozco y la he trabajado mucho. He tenido que trabajar muchos solistas (y buenos) para el coro. Sé cómo se debe hacer sobre todo en un coro y para no "quemar" las voces para el futuro. Muchos de mis antiguos solistas hoy día son músicos y algunos cantantes de ópera. Siempre he sido exigente, por eso me resistía a grabar.
Te he oído todas las piezas que nos has regalado. Es una hermosa voz y has cogido un repertorio en algunos casos, muy exigente. Ánimo y adelante. Si me permites un pequeño consejo (que ya lo estarás estudiando), trabaja la respiración diafragmática para que la voz se proyecte sin esfuerzo, más lejos y más sonora. Apoya bien la voz en el diafragma, evita la respiración clavicular que algunas veces se te escapa. Con 11 años, tienes tiempo para un gran repertorio solista y cantado con expresividad. Ánimo y siempre adelante.
Todo te lo digo deseándote lo mejor para el futuro. Lejos de mi el criticar. Sólo quiero ayudar un poco al gran trabajo que estás haciendo tú y que hacen contigo. Desde Cantabria, un abrazo musical y gracias por tu música.

Thanks Paul. We didn't notice issues with the piano when we were there, so it might just be something with the recording. Everything is closed down right now as we are in a Covid lockdown. We'll definitely look into it when things get back up and going again. Not sure when that will be though!
