Simple, easy, inexpensive. Plus after dyeing your flies will cast through walls like the Kool-Aid pitcher in the commercials! Thanks, great instruction too.
Comment of the day!!
@@flyfishingtheozarks Awesome!!!
Thanks Brian! I have a bunch of artic fox that needs dyeing, will give this a try!
Would like to see how that turns out!
Always great information
Wow thanks Brian this was a very creative video that has some great tricks! Great work!
Thanks!
great tying tips video as always!
Thanks so much!
Excellent !!
Awesome video, been meaning to try this for a while now
Thanks! You should try it, super easy.
OK Brian, you guys have got to be related, he doesn't talk either. Pretty cool technique. I've got a whole deer skin I can experiment with so I can make lots of mistakes and not miss much. Thanks!
Great tip dye video. I enjoyed this video
I have dyed things before. I use acid dye witch is a powder type dye a lot like kool-aid is. 2oz jar is big enough for dyeing multiple things. One thing you didn't touch on is degreasing the material before you dye. I believe that is important for dying anything. I use dawn dish soap and hot water let it soak for 5 minutes or more.
O I never thought about it instead of my wife's hi end dies I'll try cool aid it might work for me . great job
Great information! 👍👍 I’ve been wanting to try dying my own but wasn’t sure about it..now I know! Those were nice looking flies. Going to check out Matt’s site also. Thanks a lot! Had a good laugh when you Googled his name 😄 Have a great one Brian (Pit Bull was another laugh 😂)
Might as well give some laughs with these Tips. 😉
Can you use this technique to dye plastic/rubber materials like clear midge tubing or rubber legs?
Could the same process be used to die a paintbrush for tails? Like microfiberets-tails.
Would dying with hot water work better in a Thermos Food Flask? It would keep it hot a lot longer!
A great video thank you 👍😷👍
Loved the video! But are you wearing Yellow Crocs? If so where can I get them!!!???
Yep!! Love 'em. www.crocs.com/p/baya-clog/10126.html
can you do the same with striped maribou?
You can!
FYI, the dip and dye jars that glitter boat bass guys use to dye soft plastics works pretty darn good to color feathers.
Good tip!
Thank you for sharing guys! Now the stores will be sold out of koolaid just like flash and slinky.
But only the cool colors. 😉
Yard Sale Please!
Definitely coming.
So Kool Aid isn't just for catfish bait!
Or drinking.....who knew??
