I'm just begining to learn how to tie flies, I really appreciate your videos and all of the wisdom that you give in them.
You're making Kelly Galloup look like a choir boy one fly name at a time lol.
looks like another rainy day project.... Niagara river Browns look out!
OMG- Knuckle Deep. Best fly name ever? Thanks for the great tying tips.
I love using craft fur for heads. Usually use a dubbing loop, but I have got to know what craft fur brush that was. That thing was perfect.
Haha, I made it! 😎
@@flyfishingtheozarks Dang it, more motivation to get a dubbing brush table then
@@paladin7284 Mine is literally a one-off that a buddy made for me.....super awesome.
Brian, not to burst your bubble, but no one in their right mind would take anything you say, except for the tying instructions, seriously. I guess that's why I take everything you say seriously, I'm not in my right mind, but it's fun here. Thanks for the lessons Brian. Keep the good stuff coming.
HAHAHA! Thanks!
BWAHAHAHA
Please keep doing the mail box things!
Love stacking dubbing! So effective and they can turn out beautiful!

Thanks for watching!
This is golden!
I really wanna try the craft fur!
Love craft fur!
Helpful video! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Love your MFC flies.
Wow, that craft fur brush head sure looks nice. When the craft fur is dense in a brush like that does it still lay down skinny in current or can it actually push some water?
Great video
As always awesome flies
Thank you! Cheers!
Great advice thank you
You are so welcome!
Love your videos m8
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you very much. Disabled Vet learning to tie flies. Do you have a video available for Bass?
Hey David, thanks for your service! Most of the tying videos I do can be used for bass...or at least tweaked for bass.
Always learning 👍
Always!
Thanks 👊👊👊
love your vids. I would like to know about game changers/multi-jointed streamers
Thanks for the idea!
Nice tying as usual. Regarding the Craft fur brush, at least I couldnt see that you would have manipulated the ”stem” of the wire? Arent you worried about it at all? That it would stick out from the head… or having it in a angle that it would brake the thread for example…? Thanks in advance!
After I cut it off, I bent it back toward the bend of the hook. It is still something you have to watch though.
"Knuckle deep" lmfao
;-)
Good video!! Where you from in the ozarks? I'm over by Bennett spring! I'm a new to your channel!!
I am in Gainesville.....tiny town due east of Branson.
@@flyfishingtheozarks ya I know where that is!!
Thanks!
NO, THANK YOU!!
@@flyfishingtheozarks have you ever done FaceTime tutorials
Thank You! Wrapping brushes around eyes has always plagued me.
You can "figure 8" around them if you have a thin brush.
Where do you get your brushes from ?
I made the brush in the video. 👍
you are awsome
Have you tied streamers with laser dub heads that are too small for the length of the dubbing fibers? I’ve been wondering about cutting the fibers in half so that it fits the hook size more appropriately.
I would stay away from cutting Laser Dub. If you cut it, you will have a completely straight edge that you cannot taper....if you tear it, it is already tapered. I am 100% going to do a Tying Tips Video on tearing certain material vs cutting it.
@@flyfishingtheozarks I’ll give tearing a try. I’ve noticed that the trout in my local tail waters consistently bite smaller streamers, border line minnow sized flies.
I just watched your laser dub video this morning. I like that tiny minnow pattern you threw together. I’ll give something like that a try as well. Thanks for the great info you’re putting out.
Knuckle deep!!! Hmmmm are we still talking tying??? Lmao😅
What thread do you use?
For all heads except deer hair, I use 210.....deer hair heads, GSP
