I am trying to start growing for myself, and wondering if I could sell whatever I have extra! But I have no idea about the regulations. Im in Vancouver, Canada. I hope license is not required here too.
Thank you for the information. Getting information on this has been nearly impossible. Every time I call DSHS no one answer the phone. The city health inspectors tells me I have to get a food manufacturers license, but I don't think that is true. Did you have issues with your city's health inspector or have to get an inspection through any agency?
Hi! According to our laws in Texas as long as it’s a one cut package to customer and no middle man it’s considered under the “Cottage Law” see if that applies where you live.
@@New-Hat-Gardening Ok awesome. I am currently selling live containers at the farmer's market and I was told that was under cottage law, but if I cut it that it wouldn't be. I'll talk to the city health inspector again and see what she says.
COOL ❤❤
Thank you so much for posting this. We are just starting out here in Texas
Glad it was helpful!
Great news!! 🎉
Good news!
Such a relief! Now to focus on growing 🌱
Hi, thank you for your video. It is very confusing to figure out at first. Do you have any pointers for someone starting out in Massachusetts?
Start small. I went all in and ended up not making enough money to justify the time and cost.

We have what’s called a “Cottage Law” check with you local agriculture dept to see if there’s something similar.

Is there a more sustainable package? I’m looking to sell at Farmers Market
Search Compostable Clam Shells on Amazon. That's where I get mine.
