To make a Halo/Harry Potter crossover, since Voldemort had a similar nose design to The Forerunners; and Forerunners, and humans had very similar biologies; wouldn't that make Voldemort something of a Forerunner? I know he was fully human as Tom Riddle, but as he made more horcruxes, and once he received his new body in The Goblet of Fire, would he now be considered a Forerunner, instead of a normal human?

It's been a minute.
There is no ruling class to the forerunner There was a council, made of the leaders of some rates.
Other rates were revealed in epitaph
the builders became the dominant faction, however you want to word that, it is mentioned in the books, I think I show it on screen, but like if you want to say that every class had representation, but at the end of the day they were the ruling class by the time of the flood war and long before, when that happened exactly can be debated but all during the the books they are
@@MetaNerdzLore they manipulated and absorbed other rates, including the rate of the didact father, that's how they gained power and became the most important rate, but they still weren't the ruling class, the forerunner had a concil that both the didact and librarian were a part of, only the engineers weren't a part of it, the council was the ruler of the forerunner, yes under Faber control but still the council.
Still missing a few rates, epitaph revealed at least three additional rates.
@@JoaoSoares-rs6ec from what I remember it was saying it wasn't just Faber but Builders ruling over/having most influence, was for a long time and how they started changing cultural things and cover up their stealing the mantle from the Precursors. And yeah kept seeing different details on rates, so went with these. But also thanks for the comment you definitely know you stuff and welcome added details and nuance
@@MetaNerdzLore not much to add, the builders manipulated the narrative, similar to what is happening know, to get power and become the primal rate, before it was the warrior servents, faber, controlled the council.

Always thought it was odd that despite ancient humanity being very close to the forerunners technologically, there are no human megastructures or lasting architectural monoliths to speak of. I would have thought they would have built some sort of megastructure or something that would have stood the test of time

@@gary4332 The thing is, human megastructures were built with Precursor neural physics material as their very foundation.
If the Forerunners didn't destroy them directly, then the Halo's pulse did. Maybe that's why only micro-regions of archaic ruins survived ~ easily overlooked or mistaken for ruins of another race (and made of eartly materials).

I HATED that 343 was so lazy as to not actually name the species. The Didact referred to himself as Forerunner. That was the name the current galaxy had given them, not what they called themselves. The writing in the main games really started slipping, so i always wondered how Halo Wars was so well done.
This is such a weird comment, Truth calls the Brutes Brutes in Halo 2, and Mercy calls Grunts and Hunters just that, they're human names.
Forerunners were supposed to be humans. Number Company sucks.

It could also be interpreted as them coming before others but still being around and more powerful/advanced, therefore they are inherently superior to others.

Not a fan of how 343 took Bungie's Mystery Box, took a dump in it, wrapped a bow around it and convinced a generation of gamers that it's good story writing. Halo ended at 3 and the forunners are to me still the mysterious progenitors who wiped themselves out to save the universe from the Flood. The End.

The community lead at the time was pushing that and he was always more a Microsoft man than a Bungie man, He sided with Microsoft rather early on and jumped ship when Bungie separated from Microsoft, so was already on the other side of the fence when Bungie made Halo Reach. The guy was a cringelord of the highest order and a terrible writer, which was evident in the Halo anime. His only name to fame was Mr Chief, a character only he out of everyone cared about. Oh did I mention he also joined 343 and took lead on Halo 4's plot? Yeah, so same people responsible for the Forerunner Trilogy went on to be the first writers at 343... dun dun... do your research before you go calling a real fan cringe.

Even if Microsoft pushed Bungie to change this narrative, it goes too show how stupid the idea of the Forerunners being human is. It's so stupid Microsoft had to intervene, and it goes too show how creatively bankrupt Marty is. Halo 4 is a narrative masterpiece unlike the train wreck that is Halo 3, you're not a real fan just some cringe lord stuck in 2007. I still believe the precursors gave the mantle to the humans due to good facial proportions and ample variety in noses.
While the forerunners look kind of uncanny fish people.
Who knows, maybe they don't needed a nose on their evolution due to being angry at everything all the time and receiving suckerpunchs on the face all the time wich in turn evolved on their society on the absence of nose and the necesity of creating beautiful but absurdly lethal weapons of mass destruction.
They did, but the forerruner revolted against the precursor and took the mantle that why the flood punsihed the forerunner.

Seriously, if you start a halo lore channel or do halo stuff a bit more i'd love that. Eckharts ladder does star wars lore and halo stuff as well, but nowadays he hardly covers halo. Its such a good combo though imo! Only real difference between your fanbase and ecks (i think) is that his channel banner states 'star wars, halo and more' whereas you are a star wars channel, so the portion of your fans who are dual franchise lore nerds may be smaller. But if the views support it... 👀
