Idk if you read your comments, but I just want to say that I'm a lifelong Tennessee fan. I've never cared about Georgia Tech or the ACC one way or the other. But I somehow stumbled upon your channel and I like it. I hope GT does well this year. The fanbase deserves a good stretch.
same to you, RockyTop. ...Ramblin'
I'm always nervous when it comes to louisville games. Never know what will happen
Louisville has ran the most vanilla stuff these two games on offense and defense. Defense was all base stuff and offense was basic concepts. They have shown nothing on what they can do yet but they will this game
I’m not saying tech wins this game. It is concerning if they’re just running base they are blowing coverage off of it
Thoughts on Shough postgame? He’s a clear upgrade to Plummer
😂😂😂 I bet he is😂😂😂
You pronounce Tyler Shough's name, Shuck, like a shuck of corn.
Louisville did not open the playbook during these games. That is why you see some blown coverages etc,
This guy does not know what he's talking about 😂😂😂
It boils down to Techs defense making adjustments off the Syracuse game. I’d like to believe that Santucci has made enough adjustments/improvement to hold L’ville to less than what Tech scores. I agree that King will be running this game, especially in the early series.
We have good Def players but not top tier ones. I bet it takes Santucci two years to get things straight.
Likely a L. The Syracuse loss was disappointing. We haven’t beaten anyone worthy. We thought we did with FSU, but they’re now exposed to be a bottom feeder hot-mess. Not impressed. We have to prove it again, and we probably won’t. One week in the ranking at #23, and we’re out. Couldn’t handle the pressure and got our big head.
You really believe that Syracuse has a better defense than Louisville?
I noticed you didn't show any film from the second half 😂 of the Jax st game 😂

Love that you guys think anything from Louisville tape shows you stuff. Brohm barely touched the playbook. Idek if he opened it🤣🤣
The issue with the 3 man front is simply understanding the blocking assignments for the o line. I’m hopeful that tech has that worked out now.
The blocking assignments(rules) don't really change much between fronts.
I'm more concerned when we run 3 man fronts. We couldn't stop them at all.
@@Ggg-nv5lyI agree but you have to understand your assignment. There were times against cause the line actually ended up double teaming guys and leaving others pretty much untouched particularly on run plays
I DIED LAUGHING when they blocked the FG. The reaction was priceless
The Louisville D this year features a lot of the same guys that played in the Georgia Dome last year. Ashton Gillotte, Dez Tell, Jared Dawson, Antonio Watts, Stanquan Clark, tackles leader from 2023 TJ Quinn, Ben Perry, and Ramon Puryear. The secondary is considered one of our strengths featuring 2023 returnees Quincy Riley, MJ Griffin, Devon Neal, and Aaron Williams. Several highly rated transfers joined the defensive team including Thor Griffith, Tramel Logan, and Myles Jernigan to name a few... The reason for us being rated 19 in my opinion is the defense. I have no idea what to expect from Shough (Shuck) and the offense. My confidence lies in holding G-tech to a respectable amount of points. We'll see you guys Saturday and all of our questions will be answered.
The difference between Shough and Plummer? Plummer was sluggish in the pocket, a sitting duck when there was pressure, no ability to throw down field at all, and very innacurate passing until he gets warm or hit. Plummer was a good game manager. Shough is faster, has the ability to throw down field (which Brohm loves to do), with accuracy, and can run the ball when needed. His only downfall is staying healthy as he's gotten injured all 5 years he's played. I'm pretty pumped to see Shough prove himself in both games and staying healthy.
Shough is better in every aspect of playing QB than Jack Plummer was for us last year. Way better pocket awareness, more arm strength, better accuracy, more mobile, and gets the ball out quicker. Granted, we've been playing teams with a lot less talent than we have, but Plummer never looked crisp regardless of who we were playing last year (sans BC). Shough's arm strength and ball placement gives Brohm so many more options play calling than we had at our disposal last year because of Plummer's limitations.
Your comments about the QB runs is pretty spot on. If we give that much space to a more talented QB like Haynes King then that 100 yards will turn into 200 yards really quick. I thought are DL was doing a bad job of giving the JSU QB way too many rushing lanes and didn't close them off near quick enough. That being said, our coaching staff made adjustments at half and they cleaned it up big time in the second half. I'm sure that there will be an emphasis on containing Haynes King and keeping him in the pocket this week from the coaching staff, we just have to wait and see if it works.
I think you're off base with there being a timing issue with Shough on the curl route that you showed. I understand your thought process when you're seeing the receiver get out of his break but if you watch Shough's footwork, the ball is coming out of his hand exactly when it's supposed to in his drop. He hits the last step in his three step drop and the ball's coming out and it's a well placed ball. If there is a timing issue there, it's on the receiver for his lazy route and not on Shough.
I'm excited to watch these teams battle it out this weekend. It'll be interesting to see what the Cards look like against a quality opponent and see what wrinkles our offense/defense introduce as we've been super vanilla playcalling wise against these first couple teams. I think GT may have been looking ahead a bit last week against Syracuse because while Cuse may be underrated, I think GT wins that game 7 times out 10. IMO, if Louisville can stop King from running the ball, I think we might cover. If we can't, then this game will be decided in the last few minutes and come down to the wire.
I’m worried about Tech’s legs being a bit dead out the gate, and giving up a couple big plays early. But otherwise I agree - the Louisville QB is not some world beater. The way people are talking about him does not match his resume.
We haven't showed anything offensively obviously I thought you new football why would we pull out our playbook for these two team jack at and Austin 😂 com on nw
I'm thinking that GT has the advantage in power, and Louisville has the advantage in speed. But we'll see.
I think you're going to be disappointed on Saturday but we'll see

Hoping GT beats Louisville - will make the 🍊win look better!
Will be a fun game to watch. I personally don’t see this game being close but if Louisville plays this game like they played the worst quarter (2nd Qtr vs Jax St) this year (the only quarter the opponent scored and the quarter you picked highlights from) then Louisville will get beaten badly. Shough (pronounced like tough or shuck) has tons of long downfield on the money throws but I understand you’re trying to show the devils advocate plays and did a good job. Appreciate the analysis. Encourage you to watch more film.
I get it but I can’t watch 2 games of a team playing nobody’s. I didn’t intentionally try and pick your worst half. I just watched your most recent game and started at the beginning. I’m really not playing devils advocate look at me break down Syracuse post game. If you run us out of the stadium I’ll give you props and look at the film.
@@wrecktalk Like I said really appreciate the analysis and to be fair to you you did state you only watched the first half and knew louisville played better in second half so I don’t mean to get on your case. Louisville has very little resume this year.
Here’s our chance but the defense needs to get the quarterback and we need to run the ball. Pretty simple game plan to get a much needed W
Jax State had a pretty good team last year. Made a bowl. They lost everyone that was halfway decent from last years team. They are really bad. This is definitely the first real team Louisville has faced. I like our chances if we learned anything from the Syracuse game.
Interesting point on why you would throw the flat at 12:48.
Still don't understand why you would throw the flat over the guaranteed first down curl.
because the corner had his body turned the other way. The flat picks up a lot more yards on the outside. That means Shough didn’t read the defense and just saw his first open receiver
The curl was the wrong read without a doubt noticed that play immediately when I watched the condensed game. Flat was a guaranteed first down if you make a decent throw with a chance for more yards too.
Cards by a mile.
tehe
I see i gave you a little to much respect last year we dont want to cover we just want to win you talking about covering hou don't have no confidence in your team 😂😂
You don't think Shough is better than Plummer? Wow, tell us you know NOTHING without telling us you know nothing.. hilarious, but do better
A gimpy Jamal Haynes is the most crippling thing to this team. I don’t think we pay enough attention to how much all of us, including the team, rally around his pit bull flex energy. We need our road dog to set the tone. If he does, I think we all follow suit.
The secondary is fine, its the soft zone that hurts us. Even you can find a spot and sit in the zone.
There ol = totally clean pocket. Qb was told to take first available open guy who is not moving = not tipping hand for our game.
I hear what you’re saying but, it sounds like the same sorta stuff y’all said about Syracuse after watching the Ohio game. “This guy on Ohio did that to Syracuse, Haynes is gonna run for 300 .”
“If this guy on Jax State does this to Louisville Haynes King is gonna shred you.” I mean you might be right this time, but I’m just saying it sounds like the same thing y’all said about Cuse. I hope y’all win though.
Big Tech fan here, but that’s my fear as well.
Very true. This sort of stuff doesn’t always add up that way.
What happened with Cuse was more of a GT error than anything Cuse defensively. That was the worst game we played in a while and still only lost by 3 with Haynes King playing great
@@ZackJonesGT Let’s be real special teams is the only reason y’all got close to Cuse. Something we need to work on or else we’ll lose to someone we shouldn’t.
@@elicook1 Haynes King plays special teams?
Anyone know what happened to Jamie Felix and why we aren’t seeing him ?

Prove that. Ask him to provide the DMs if they exist. He can’t. So you need to ask yourself is that the kind of guy you want to deal with.
