The cymbal and snare work here is crazy. It's the type of thing my band would call me nuts for programming midi drums like this, yet you're playing it irl with ease.

Absolutely amazing playthrough and writing, but I also do appreciate that you're not using a crazy high end kit. Those Mapex Mars Birch kits so sound great when they're tuned well, and is that the Mapex MPX 14x3.5? I have one too! Great piccolo :)
Thanks man. I would play a higher end kit if I could afford one!! lol but these Mars shells sound incredible. & yep, its 13" apex SEMP. The crack and body is insane for a "low end" drum.

How did you do the double kicks during the HiHat openings at 3:23 ?
switch feet really quick back and forth, and keep hi-hat open and ringing over double kicks. If you notice those couple 16th's are missing w/ just a ringing hat.

🤔 I occasionally comment on the fact that it's almost impossible to come up with an original, cool-sounding band name, because they've pretty much all been taken. The only remaining options are to either make up new, nonsense words, or to randomly paste together a few completely unrelated words(like "Pomegranate Tiger"), or a combination of both.....
Anyway, time to get back to practicing with my band, "Shabbanabba Koi Pond Sunrise".
The name is inspired from a Salvador Dali painting, and the surreal art he created. :)
