My name is Dave and I travel with my dog Bella in a 1990 Fleetwood Bounder Class A Motorhome. This is our tour across America. So join us if you’re open to travel, fun, excitement, hiking & exploring. Wish us luck on this adventure! Maybe we’ll see you down the road sometime. Happy trails!
My channel is about full time RV Living in an older RV while keeping the wheels rolling on a budget. I do the repairs, updates and upgrades myself. I’ve become my own RV Mechanic/Medic! I seek boondocking opportunities every chance I can and power the RV with 500 watts of solar and approximately 500 amp hours of batteries. RV Resorts are just not our style!

I love it when you romp it. No one else's RV sounds like your Hot Rod.
I kept waiting for children to walk out of the corn! 😆
lol....yikes!
Hello Dave!
Love my drives. Bella is my ray of sunshine and she puts a smile on my face. Safe Travels dear friend.

Bella isn’t to much of a conversationalist is she. Hahahahaha Man you do drive the old girl like a city bus and that Bounder sure can take it. I’ll tell you, that sure was a great buy. She is running so well and still looks good. Take care buddy. Cheers!!!
Dave your engine sounds tough! More Nomads should prepare as you. Good luck
Loved that welcome center! So adorable! I’ve never seen one like that in my travels yet! A must see 👍😊
Hey Linda.
👋 Linda
3 Generations 🖐
I went up in the Arch with friends years ago. We could feel it slightly sway!
Don't go too fast Dave. You wouldn't want to miss something. Have fun
We were just in Missouri last month, stopped at that rest stop its very cute! Live in NW Oklahoma, lots of construction on Turnpike, interstates in Oklahoma.
Safe travels!
Thank you Bella and Mike for sharing.
If you can get there a little early there are some preparations in the works including a deck build. You know she loves to make things nice for everyone.
That is a cute rest area/welcome Center.
There are some nice places in Illinois. Many are a bit further south of I 55. Mostly flat land up that way. More scenery on the less travelled roads. You just crossed the Mississippi River. Having some road time together and you're both enjoying the trip. That's the main thing that matters! ❤ 🐕
Just to name a few....
Garden of the Gods, Shawnee National Forest, Mounds in many places including Cahokia, Crab Orchard Lake, Carlyle Lake, Sam Dale Lake, Forbes State Park, Rend Lake, ....etc....
You are in my state, I lived on 60 highway in Mountain View.
Fun rest area. Bella looks thrilled. Looking forward to the fun to come!
The welcome center is so CUTE.
Good morning Dave,The Bounder, and Bella!!! Wishing you safe travels and be careful if you go out west ,perhaps into California ,Oregon, and Washington states as those wildfires out there are pretty bad so be careful. Much LOVE ❤️ to you Bella sweet girl. !!! Looking forward to seeing what new and exciting adventures lie waiting on the road ahead of you guys Dave!! Thank you for another great video and hoping to see your next one soon!!! Until next time, later Dave and sweet beautiful girl Bella❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💗💗💗💗💜💜💜🐾🐾🐾🌹🌹🌹🌹what an awesome welcome center and I’ve never seen one like it really COOL!!! I’ve always wanted to go Route 66 -once in a lifetime experience
thx for showing the Route 66 Themed Rest Area!
That's a awesome rest stop see yah Dave and Bella hugs always
Dave your getting old LOL I was thinking I seen the dump station as you were pulling in to the camp grounds..... Thanks for taking me along for the ride..
Loved the Route 66 rest stop!! Yes, it was "cute"!! Safe travels!!
Man you sure do be drivin Betty and she sounds soooo good.👍Love the remote at the dump station.
Check out Elk Lake at Elk City, Oklahoma. Free electric and water. Nice place!
Also a dump station
I went to St. Louis when I was a kid. My brother and I stood under the arch while my dad took our picture. St. Louis is home to my favorite baseball team, The Cardinals. I'm glad you didn't stay by that corn field. It was a very remote location. We might not have ever seen you & Bella again if you had stayed. :) Safe travels.
lol...thanks. :)
That was a unique rest stop.
Some pretty cool stuff to see there Dave. Sounded like you had your foot in the gas a lot Dave ! My favorite part was at the end when Bella was looking at you saying , put the camera down and get back there and fix some supper !!!
The Journey "IS" the destination.... enjoy the trip
Bella is the best!
Dude I was your 420 thumbs up guy...lol.... Thanks Dave for sharing your video in a part of your life stay safe buddy... O Saint Louis the gateway to the West
Ten dollar campground fits my budget.
Meremac caverns - outlaw Jesse James hideout ! St. Louis is my home
You passed within 5 miles of me. Welcome to Missouri.
Bella Bella looks like she misses her green yard already. Sad sad face. 😉
Nice vlog thanks for sharing
Great to see u on da road again Willie......LOL
Hi Dave and Bella. Get your kicks on route 66.😊
Cute post 😉
i've taken the arch ride. it's like getting into an egg thing and it rocks as you go up and down. pretty neat view from the top.
If they slant the road toward the dump; when it rains the water will flow toward the dump and fill the holding tank possibly to overflowing. That's why they put a crown in the middle of the road!
Love St. Louis. Good memories
Great video ,thank you for sharing that park 66 very kool ,be safe ,big hugs from MN
Too bad you couldn't camp lakeside. The view in campsites was cornfields, but any port in a storm. It had good enough water, a blessing, and you got to use your fancy new water filter. A dump station, also a blessing, five bucks is a good deal. Who wouldn't pay $5 to get poop away from them. Great tip - thank you very much - tilt the RV port side. Let gravity do its thing. Dang, Dave, "drive this thing like a city bus - get outta the way!" 😂🤣 "No city would be complete without construction" 😂🤣😂🤣. Those pavilions were very cute - what a great way to raise funds - not only let a local business sponsor one, but make a copy of their facade on them! Well done unique rest area. Good, fun video. See ya down the road! Safe travels! Bella Bella Bella hugs and kissies.
lol I saw you pass the dump station on the way in. hey Bella!!
?
@@craigtarbox3499 on the video :)
Your use of the word "cute" to describe that Rest Area/Welcome Center was spot on. Someone with a whimsical sense of humour designed it, and it works. The lack of traffic I'm seeing as you drive through all these major metropolitan areas (Pittsburgh, St. Louis) has to be because of Covid. I've never driven through St. Louis and seen so little traffic, and I've driven through there at least 4 times over the years. Despite missing her big, grassy play field at your buddy's house, I think Bella is happy to be back on the road. Safe travels!
Look like your making a birthday party, don't forget the cake! By the way it sways at the top. Best joke ever making tourist think might tip over.
The river you crossed over going into Missouri was the Mississippi.
Master Voni sure was!
Have a safe trip Dave
That is CUTE!
Good video Dave thanks for sharing and safe travels.
Thanks, you too!
Good video
You say rout, I say root lol.
Glad you are movinon!!! I hope you are going to meet up with Ausias place...
We saw you at walmart in Marshfield, MO! 👍🏼
Safe travels, hope to see more of 66
Alrighty Dave ! Glad to see ya back traveling !!
Thanks for the tour of St Louis...it is now off my bucket list. Safe travels with many great and rewarding adventures ahead.
Love that rest area! Thanks for sharing! Stay safe out there!
Thanks! Will do!
The Horseshoe Lake camp ground looked pretty nice. Especially the sites near the lake. Good luck on your next stay. Be safe!!!
no kidding! compared to Worthington Jiffy on 422 .. 2.39 for regular. sheesh
SUPER Cute Welcome Center! LOTS to see in OK
That's a very unique welcome center I enjoyed it so much you and Bella be safe in your travels ♥️🐕👍
Thanks so much!
Beautiful time for camping with days not too warm and not too cold. You and your wonderful pet make the trip very inviting. Some areas look so flat till you turn a corner.. then it changes.. The lake wpuld be nice if you could see it but it was nice and quiet at the camp spots too. I guess a trade off.. A cleaver way to decorate the picnic pavillions at the rest area Very nicely done. I wonder if sponsored by local business.
Like the video, as your cossing into missouri your following my old company, FTS first over the road trucking job, 22 years ago, more you go west the better its gets
That was really a cute rest stop you and Bella be safe. 👍😎
Thank you! You too!
Floyd's Barber Shop, Mayberry. :^D
I've been to the caverns 👍♥️👍
🌼 Were you expecting children to come out of that corn? I just got my first ever rig Sunday. I look forward to being out on the road sooner than later! I have some learning to do and I always appreciate little smidgens of advice, such as tilting your rig for proper emptying of tanks. I love that rest area!
Stay safe!
You can also go under the arch and there's a musium at the lower level
good job 👍 videos are getting better 🤠
Thanks! 😃
That "route 66 rest stop" was really cool. Nice video Dave...safe travels!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😁
Thanks 👍
You be driving that rig on down the highway.
This brought back memories from when I was 7-yrs-old. My mom, sister, and I rode from Freeport to San Angelo, TX to visit my dad's family. It took 3 days and 2 nights to get there. I remember driving past and seeing the Arch.
Btw, my daughters love your 'accent', Dave.🙂
lol! Say hi to them! :)
That engine sounds really good.
Yes you can go up in the yard I don’t know with the Covid being on now if it’s open but when everything‘s A-OK you can go up in the arch!
there is bypass 244 before st louis to 44 west
That would be the Mississippi River
Well your RV did blend in with the cornfield. lol.
I didn't know you could go up in the arch either until Eric from nomadic fanatic showed us a video that you can. Yeah the rest area was cute and that gas station sign said Ethel you don't see that anymore. Oh and they had my store there.
👍👍👍
I live in Mo if you come down I44 you will about come close to my house before Lebanon Mo. You are doing want I wanted to do. If you are in illinois check out Cahokia mounds close to mo border. Meramec area is nice coming down I44. Lucky you be safe.
#1 lol...
Let me know if you'll be coming through Kansas City. I'm near I70
Why does this remind me of Vacation?
I really loved the ride. I would not have enjoyed the view with the dried up corn. I would be waiting for the children of the corn to come walking out. lol! I didn't realize the St. Louis Arch was as tall as it is. The rest stop was so cute! For a change, tax payer funded art is actually enjoyable. Hugs to you and Bella....
What’s your favorite app for finding free or cheap campgrounds? I have about all of them and am in the process of figuring out which works the best. You actually crossed the Mississippi River in St. Louis. The Missouri does run into it not far from there. The Missouri River actually cuts our state in half.
You’re right, that is a cute rest area😊 Are you going to Lolapalooza next month? Safe travels, hugs to Bella🌻💜
I'll bet your already in Arizona at the Nomad land in Williams , lol
LOL So true. The Rv'ers live in an altered space and time.
did you meet any youtubers while out there
I thought you might need to be in Arizona by Friday or Saturdau.
i saw him there in someone elses video!! looked like a great time with friends
Don't tell me you have another chip in your windshield. Don
No, dead bugs. lol
Did you see any "Honk If You're Corny" bumper stickers?
You passed threw my neck of the woods. You should be glad you did not stay at horseshoe lake. Day time it is nice. Night time gets sketchy. Lots of theft goes on there. Been murders.
We had our trailer broken into acouple of years ago. Cops acted like it was our fault for staying there.
Wave when you pass through Joplin!
hi I'm in Joplin if you get this way let me know I'll buy you lunch
Do you have problems in campgrounds with an older RV ?
If you are still in Missouri and are curious to visit the Lake of the Ozarks area let me know! I was the one who told you about Ha Ha Tonka State Park and what I call its enchanted forest! I am in the process of moving to the lake and will be back by Sunday 9/27 or Monday 9/28 staying for 2-3 days. I could offer you and Bella a boat ride. It’s more normal there than some other places. Let me know if you see this and are interested via Facebook messenger or via Instagram message (both Accts. are in my name Sherry Heida Photos)☀️🛥⛱
Dave, There were breaks for commercials in this video, but we never really saw any, does that mean you have been demonetized? I like being on the road with you & Bella.
I think youtube is having a glitch this evening. The channel is ok.
Have you seen Joe Biden’s Corn POP anywhere around there?
That campground us not a safe place to stay.
You talking about the lake, dump station one, why? Just wondering.
That is just a dangerous area. Lots of bad things goes on there. I woukd not camp there.
👍👍👍
