A true champion. I've loved her from the first moment I saw her play. I've loved her attitudes toward life. Strong, fearless, and respectful. Way to go, Martina!

it took me years to appreciate Martina as was a big Chrissie fan in the 80s...but she is so amazing, so richly deserved, so respectful, and a had a road very hard to travel. I now love her and love to see her admired and revered, as she should be.

What an amazing person and champion Martina is! When it comes to tennis she holds records which never will be broken. Most singles and doubles titles. The doubles streak with Pam Shriver. In my opinon, she is the greatest Tennis Player of them all. At least in the Womens game. Not sure why nowdays they put so much weight on the number of grand slam wins, since it is a fact that the Australian Open and French Open where not as important as Wimbledon and the US Open until the late 80's. And on a personal level. How great it must be to call Martina a friend.

A living legend. There never has been, nor will there ever be again, a serve-volley player like her in the women's game.
I was lucky enough to witness all of her Wimbledon wins and have spent the last few days reliving and discovering some of her other triumphs, thanks to the wonder of RUclips! 😉

As a former college player and then teaching pro for 35 years both Martina and Arthur have my never ending respect. Both for their tennis and their grace and dignity in more than winning a tennis match.

Navratilova simple was & still the best
even at the edge of 35 still have the power, physical condition, technique ,talent
passion higuer than excelente player & younger than her
    but at some point it's
    clear you cannot
    beat time but.
    she did it...for a,
    lest 5 or 6 years
    blessing to Martina

The world benefitted from Martina , she gave more than received. She should have more money than all put together winning the most tournaments , and when she lost it seemed always the smallest of margins 7-6 in the deciding set in 3 slam finals . I’m my opinion the greatest ever for it takes a rare talent to play the game they way she did.

13:10 Wiener Schnitzel and potato salad, so Czech! Lovely speech. Martina was one our our family’s heroes, as were our parents, of course, since there was a parallel sacrifice followed by tremendous opportunity and success - which this ceremony celebrates. Thank you for the post.

Such a lovely introduction and described so vividly Martina’s style in the court. Pam Shriver and Martina were certainly a great doubles pair. Wonderful to see Martina’s growth and maturity over the decades. Ended her speech on a soulful note and incredible.❤️

Because she was aiming to be the greatest ever in singles, doubles and mixed events, she spreaded herself thin for the singles slams .... Serena and Graf should count themselves lucky, Navratilova could have won 30 plus singles slams ...

Interesting she didn't thank Yonex rackets (like Monica Seles did) who stayed with her even when she was using a painted Dunlop racket in violation of her Yonex contract. Nevertheless, one of the all-time greats!
