Thank you very much for your videos, when I bought the A6000 I came to your videos to program it, now I came back because those who know a lot ... made me change everything, but you are honest and you gave me the real thing, now I am reprogramming everything, because I was well, but of course the wise people told me that it was not like that... but forget, you are the best, thank you very much.
Thank you for the video! I have not used the custom function buttons and there are many instructions telling how to save preferred functions to buttons but nothing said about the process to use them or halt the function when shooting. Merci / Max
I'm using neutral picture style with -3/-3/-3. Works fine for me and has a wide dynamic range. I am surprised you are not using the default left button for drive mode and down button for exposure compensation. You could save 2 spots in the Fn menu.
Gabor Lehocky I'm wondering the same thing, and I posted the question before I saw your post. Seems unnecessarily redundant to me, unless it's to make multiple changes without changing screens. Hope we get an answer.
Hey cool videos, just a quick question Is there any way to make the camera take one (or however many) photos every minute (or X amount of time)? Please advise!
Hi, your video is very informative. What setting did you use in your camera when you did this video (manual, intelligent, superior, etc)? Which setting dial is good to start with? I plan on going to the snow and dont know where to start. Should I just go to intelligent or superior and let the camera do it?
I have seen it is possible to put "Shoot mode" in the Fn menu. But once there it is grayed out like the function does not work. It would be great to be able to change from P, M, A, S etc with the Fn menu for underwater photography as some Ikelite housings do not control the wheels. What is the point of having Shoot mode option in the FN menu bar if it can not be used?
@ That1cameraguy [EN] I would love to see a guide to shooting at night, setting up long times. I have a A6000 and a little annoyed me that when I set the shutter for 30s it is after another 30s camera "Thinking" and after 1 minute I can see the effect but maybe I am doing something wrong. Greetings from Poland. Pozdrowienia z Polski.
Just wondering why you would dedicate a spot on the Function Menu to something that already has a dedicated button like Drive Mode, for example? Thanks!
Thank you for this video. Your really informative. I was looking into vlogging and went to Best Buy to look at the Cannon M series, however the sales person said that the Sony would be better. That made me question everything. You mentioned in this video that the 6500 and 6300 had more Video options, what should you recommend for Vlogging? I would really love to hear from you, thank you again for making this channel.
Depends on budget. When I vlog with the a6500, I use the Sony 10-18 lens with it. Works well with what I do at times. You can also mount a microphone on top unlike the Sony a6000. There are smaller compact portable cameras that might be better. I'm just not familiar with all of them.
that1cameraguy thanks for getting back to me. I will check both out as well as others. I'll keep looking to your videos for information and guidance. If I end up going with a Sony your channel will help me a ton. Thank you again. -Alejandra
hellow i had a problem regarding with my a600 sony camera i cant access my gallery only when i am in movie mode. how can i fix it hope you can help me because im very worries i tried to reset my camera but it doesnt fixed
Why is that when I shoot on RAW + J, the JPG file set at fine is 6000x3376 but the RAW is only at 1920x1080 and I don't fine the menu to raise the RAW also to same 20MP resolution. Can any one help to set both rez at 20M? and what menu I should look into? Quality or Image size wont give me that.
Well you probably just missed it. He shows it real quickly at 7:58. But even if you missed that, it should have been pretty obvious once he showed his settings in the function menu to tell you where to change them.

I had the same question. Doesn't make sense to me.
Your into sports what about Landscapes what settings do you suggest?
Would this setting also work for macro ?
Hi, I've locked my wheel/dial but I find they are still functional in setting the shooting settings when in P mode.
Hi, what is the function of P mode in the A6000 dial

Just curious, what is the focus magnifier? Is that when you can zoom the image in and fine tune your focus before taking the shot?
Yes, you are correct.
Mine doesn't work in auto focus mode but will when I use adapted lenses. What am I doing wrong?
You specially need this feature with a Manual lens or a telescope, though also useful in AF lens, if set on M.
lens comp function is used for what purpose
1... is there any way to get the apps for free for sony cameras...??

why my menu different with your a6000? what mode do you use? thx before...
Go to Tab 6, Page 2, Turn on "Tile Menu"
that1cameraguy i already did it and nothing changed...😔
Yes as that1cameraguy says, you need to change the menu into "Tile Menu". Follow the instruction and you will see it.
Good stuff man! Quick question, are you by chance Indonesian? You look just like my wife's cousin.
Not first
first
and I copy paste all the function menu setting. lol
I came here to see HOW you actually assign your custom functions to the function button. I will keep searching for that.
Well you probably just missed it. He shows it real quickly at 7:58. But even if you missed that, it should have been pretty obvious once he showed his settings in the function menu to tell you where to change them.
Andy Engelkemier I also spent a long time searching for how to set up three different function menus like he shows in the video
Dude, what is that horrendous cable management ?
Dude , we want to see the full screen with the camera not you on the side and the other half of the camera
