You are right that there is something raw and special about this live acoustic performance. But it shines even brighter when you know what it is he has managed to strip down to this. Pretty cool tho to see how much you loved it even without knowing the original. A testament to how good Ren is.

He's such a natural performer. He doesn't need fancy effects to give us a compelling video. The mv for this is bonkers in comparison as it goes the full Animal Farm. It's fun but hugely distracting as there's so much going on!

As a matter of personal opinion I myself prefer the music video to this live version. Funny how you call him a kid all the time, he's your age. Just saying, you might think of yourself still a kid, well ya, of course you do, you are so funny and seem to act like a kid being all silly. Love that you do, stay young sweetie stay as young as you want to feel! I try to keep my youth also and act silly but I can't pull it off anymore at my age.
