How do you guys feel about the reboot so far? Excited, worried, or maybe kinda on the fence like I am? I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Let's just pray that it's at least better than the last few seasons.

Excited for Damian, the Trix, and new lore!
As for the looks, I'm glad they redesigned Aisha and Stella's looks, but I'm not a fan of how Aisha's is pretty much an updated version of her OG look while everyone else gets new threads, and Stella's uses the same color scheme as her magic winx loik.

Visually it looks great (I do prefer Bloom's fiery hair and the bland bathroom in the unfinished version, though), but my main concerns are a strong story, making the specialists feel like more than just love interests, and GREAT voice acting. I'm a 4kids supremacist when it comes to the latter, so I don't want voices that all sound the same; I want DISTINCT voices, accents like British Tecna and tones like Flora's soft voice and Musa's raspy voice.

@@S4pph1r3_cutesy Even if not all the girls do, it feels most natural for Flora and Musa to socialise with the guys the most (given Flora's interactions with Brandon and Riven in the OG show and Musa possibly being perceived as "one of the guys" with her personality).

For me, in terms of design is not bad, but the eyes looks so bug-style and so different from what winx is, they look very generic and like any other series, and the fashion also is not really good, but in general i'm really exited but nervious about the reboot and i have hopes that it's good❤
also the cgi, specially the background looks amazing!!!

The characters designs are a lot better but I still prefer that Season 9 is continued to were the last Season left off just like the past Winx Club Season rather restart the whole series all over again in the reboot because I still would like to see the continued story of Icy's lost Kingdom with the Shaman Witch as the main Villain.

  • @angeldelmoroable
    @angeldelmoroable Месяц назад +3

The pattern on the designs are doing a too much for my liking, as well as the transformations.
The OG looks work because while the colors are bright and saturated and glittery, the designs are simple with no pattern, just mostly monocromes; and even later with Enchantix and Believix, there's few colors added to give more dimension.
They're adding too much patterns because i guess it's easier to control with CGI, and they want the girls outfits to recall their own powers, but it's being implemented too much.
OG Flora outfits didn't need to be full of flowers, it was perfect with a few strawberries and flowy skirts and puffy sleeves to give that romantic vibe.
OG Stella didn't need to wear pink to let us know she was a girly fashionista, she was breaking groung by wearing bright green and orange...
Bloom secondary color being pink is too much for her, she looks best in blue and yellow with CRUMBS of pink.
The only looks i'm totally fine with is Tecna, and i'm ok but would give few slight changes to Aisha's and Musa's.
I would change Aisha's color scheme slightly and put Violet as the prominent color with military green being second and hints of blue, and as for Musa, i would definitely simplify her top, and remove the fishnet arm things... maybe even venture into giving her a slightly modern more traditional Chinese top... yes, i know, stereotypical, but i'd like to see that ethnic side being explored more at least through fashion...

Gonna be honest, the first emotion I felt while watching the teaser was relief. Seeing Bloom's dorkier/more insecure side again while she was putting out those flames made me feel like they're going to allow her more of a personality than they have in years, which creates an automatic vote of confidence for me. I like the idea of her accidentally creating small fires before she gets full control of her magic. It's a fresh new concept that makes practical sense with her established power set (plus, it puts focus on the individuality of her power source as opposed to making all the girls have slightly different flavors of the same spells). All of the concepts in the trailer feel thoughtful and grounded, as opposed to the complete genericness of the most recent Winx Club content.
As for the character designs, this is my first time seeing them. I can't quite place it, but something about Bloom's outfit feels very true to her character, despite the fact that the color scheme and clothing pieces are only vaguely reminiscent of her original casual looks. I adore Musa's. Tecna's and Aisha's are also cute, and I can vibe with the possiblity of Tecna being a cyborg of some kind, considering I heard a while back that she was originally going to be something similar in the pilot version of the show that got scrapped. Maybe they wanted to try their hand at that concept again now that they have more experience writing in this world. Stella is.....eh. Her face shape looks out of proportion to the rest of the character models, which bothers me. Also, considering she's the resident fashionista, her outfit is too simple in my opinion. Just a simple dress over a white shirt? Really? It should be more stylized than that. I wouldn't've thought much about the color if you hadn't mentioned it, but I see where you're coming from. Though I interpret it as more of a lean-in into the traditional Barbie-centric idea of girliness and fashion as opposed to mean girls. Oh, she's into fashion? Traditionally feminine? Gotta put her in pink! I don't have any big feelings about that either way so far, but we'll see how things progress. As for Flora....yea. Too much. Adorable jacket. Lots of cute individual pieces. But I really hope they rework it. Oh, and although they have made each of their character models more unique, I do wish they would've done more with body type. At least they're not sticks anymore, but it would've been nice to see more body diversity. They had a chance here to catch up to IPs like Monster High and She Ra that have embraced all body types and just....ignored it. Disappointing.
I'm kinda meh on their transformations as they are now. None of them really resonate with me, besides Tecna, whose I'm very happy with. Her Magic Winx was always my least favorite by far, and I like how they've reinterpreted her concept. Her wings are super cool too! I like how they've incorporated digital motifs into them. Everyone else's I either can't see enough of or has at least one element I don't like. I really don't like Aisha's hair. I like most of Musa's, but I wish they'd leave off the frills on the fishnets. It feels like they're trying to incorporate extra girliness, which she doesn't need. Overall, these designs just remind me too much of recent seasons' transformations, which automatically leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like how sleek they look. Their outlines aren't very interesting. But we'll see how they look in the final product, and in other positions.
And finally, the art style. I'm cool with it. I'll always prefer traditional animation, but it is such a major improvement from the CGI we're used to seeing from Winx Club that I don't care about anything else. And CGI is just to be expected at this point anyway. The bar is low in this department, so I'm just happy it looks significantly more natural and less awkward than the old CGI style.
Overall, I'm excited for the reboot. It has the potential to be the best thing that's happened to this franchise since the original three seasons. I like that they chose to show us scenes of mishaps and panicked running in the teaser. It feels like a departure from the vapid and overly cutsie vibe the recent seasons have given us. And by giving us a fresh start, they have the opportunity to make the whole thing feel so much more cohesive. It feels more close in concept to the original run of the show than any soft-reboot, spin off, or live action has, and I'm excited to see where it goes. I'm eagerly awaiting more news :)

Didn’t know they rebooted Winx Club. On one hand, it opens up the door to relive some nostalgia through a more modern reimagining of the original story that wouldn’t change too much of anything to make it too different, but still changes enough to keep things fresh and exciting like the Resident Evil Remakes. But on the other hand, it could wind up being so vastly different that it would not only be unrecognizable, but there’s a possibility it might also have a much weaker narrative, which would definitely alienate older fans of the original show.
I also worry that they’d feel inclined to include cringy modern slang into the dialogue such as “no cap”, “rizz”, and “sus”, which to me would just absolutely kill the vibes of the show, especially if it would be trying to be on the more grounded and serious side of things. That and admittedly I just don’t think I’ve seen any kind of show pull off slang like that, and **not** come across as cringy.
Eitherway, I do hope it winds up being a good reboot, and I do hope people enjoy what comes of it.

As someone who prefers 3D over 2D, I do really like the CGI and I think it’ll look better in the series. The daily outfits have A LOT of details which I like unlike many others but I’m not a big fan of Musa’s top. When it comes to fairy forms I don’t think it fits MW/Charmix. Bloom reminds me a lot of her Cosmix, Tecna’s looks like a mix of Cosmix and Bloomix but overall they give Mythix vibes. I believe only Musa’s and Aisha’s fit the base transformation, somewhat. I really don’t like how all the wings have the same shape. I do prefer the older version that appeared in the Kinder app which only included Stella, Flora and Bloom. In my opinion the simplistic design fits the base transformation and I hope that’s what they’ll do for the reboot but still make it a little more detailed. For the story I’m very excited and the voice acting? Well, I hope the quality will be like the Nick or 4kids. I would love to see some actors return to their roles but I don’t think it’ll happen. As long as it sounds good I don’t mind if the whole cast change again.

Well that’s not completely true. The thing I always loved about Layla(Aisha) is that even though she was athletic and was a little bit of a tomboy, she was still girly. She showed viewers that you can still be into athletic activities and rough it with the boys but still be girly and delicate at the same time. That’s one of the reasons I love her!
