I am not sure I agree! Every year there will be improvements. Even though I was torturing myself in one way, in another way having the A95K for the last three months has been amazing, after having a truly inferior 4k tv with a faint white blob down the middle of the screen which shows up in dark scenes, and no amount of tweaking completely removes it. By the way, I love you and your videos so much!!

Just bought the A95K 65” for $2K NEW this week. It’s PLENTY bright for me since I watch movies and tv shows in my bedroom which is dim to dark most of the time. I’m already blown away by the picture quality of the A95K and for the price I purchased it for, it’s a steal. Could I return it? Yes, but I’m not going to. If the X93L is just last year's X95K at a lower price, I'm totally okay with that. Also I hope you review the 90 series this year me around as well as the 85 series from Samsung
Well then you might as well just buy the X95K then since it's much cheaper this year. Why the HELL would I want the same TV again at raised price. Because it will of course cost more than the X95K does now. I never been so let down by Sony. They gate-keep the real upgrade in the X95L to people who can afford 85" sizes and even have ROOM to install one. This 95L at 85" will cost MORE than the X95K 85" did. I'm undecided whether to buy Oled or Mini Led, and now I'm also undecided whether to buy last year's K or this year's L. I don't quite understand the difference between K and L.
Hey @Caleb I'm likely in the minority, but I would have really liked to have seen Sony update the A90K. I think the fact that Sony doesn't make their own panels probably limited them since the panel has not changed much year over year. But I was secretly hoping for a 48inch QD-Oled.
Should I get x90k or QN90b. Live in an apartment and gaming , movies and user interface is important for me. I’m used to Sony’s interface, already have a KD 55X8500E which has served me well. Is stutter on the Samsungs really bad ?
@@x_Ryujin only comparing because the next Sony up with mini led is ultra expensive in comparison. It’s hard to compare Sony with Samsung price wise and I keep reading about how much the Samsungs have jutter.
@@Roz2891 Sony tax fanboys and free shills. They overprice stuff. Samsung doesn't have a judder. But for all flagship tvs from LG, Sony , Samsung, TCL, and Hisense have 24fps stuttering due to fast response time panels but they do have motion interpolation features to reduce stutter. Stuttering is especially horrible on OLED tvs. So x90k is no match to qn90b what so ever.
Plasma has great picture quality on 1080i. I have a friend with an LG OLED, and he says my Samsung 648500F has a better, more detailed picture for broadcast television. Interested for your comparison.
Hey Caleb, have you done a review on the Panasonic sound slayer speaker bar? I know this is off topic and all, but I trust your reviews and your overall opinion and diagnosis of different products, more than anyone else on here really, so I was trying to see if you had done a review on that particular speaker bar
Serious question here for Caleb. I have a 2019 65inch samsung q90r, the location of it is in a bright room, is it worth upgrading to the samsung 77inch qd-oled?
Honestly, this is good news for me because I'm looking at the Sony TV and the new Hisense 8 series TV I currently have the Hisense U8H but that new one is definitely enticing.
Not sure about new ones, but I just been in store and compare current models for what I can tell oled a bit more contrast miniled is significantly more bright. Both look great but to me mini led was better, so I probably will wait for new model and will get mini led 85.
So it sounds like Sony is taking a page from Samsung's book and offering multiple Mini-LED tiers (X95L & X93L vs QN85C, QN90C, & QN95C). Honestly this is a good thing as the Sony Mini-LED is awesome, but often lost out to Samsung on price.
Not really since the 95L only comes in 85" size. That is not really much of an offering likely costing $6,000-7,000+ dollars. Samsung have 85C 90C and 95C and 800/900C. Sony has 93L. Then a mega pricy super sized screen at 95L. They aren't even CLOSE in offerings.
@@loki76 I missed that with the original announcement. That stinks. I would have liked to have seen a range there. The 85" X95K is demonstrably better than the 65". I'm pretty excited for the Sony lineup this year. They are cutting loose the A90J, which suggests to me that the A80L will be a better TV than that one was. While I wish that Sony had moved to 4xHDMI 2.1 ports, I'm impressed by the gaming options. I want to hear more about the lower end Sony TVs. In the US, Sony sells the X75K at Best Buy, priced to compete with the Samsung AU8000 or LG UQ9000. It is a better TV than either of those by a good margin. I'm hoping they sell the X75L in the United States as I'm about to move and be purchasing some new TVs. Originally it was going to be some X75Ks finding a space in my home.
I had just purchased a new A80K that was wonderful till the dreaded green screen software thing happened. The store I purchased it from agreed to replace it for me at the time the A90J went on sale. I can't believe how lucky I was until I set it up. OMG ! That's an awesome television and it will be hard to believe that Sony can improve on that but looks like they're on the way.

I have a 65" X90E and a 75" X90J so I am always curious about the next X90 evolution.
when is the 2023 coming out ?
Did they go back to the a90j feet? I like that on mine!
Great video. Btw, that’s a cool zip pullover do you mind recommending the brand?
Hi. In ur own opinion as far as durability in hardware and built which OLED or LED TVs rightnow stands out. Thankd for the response
The L in A95L is for those two non-2.1 HDMI ports
🤦♂️
Plasma has great picture quality on 1080i. I have a friend with an LG OLED, and he says my Samsung 648500F has a better, more detailed picture for broadcast television. Interested for your comparison.
I wonder how Dolby Vision game mode will be on the new A95L?
I found an a80j the other day at a Conns but alas it was already sold 😭😭 it was $999 and 65 in. I never wanted something so bad.
Does new model support 21:9 resolution like LG one?
Is that a fire wallpaper on tv back there or some video ??
Hey Caleb, have you done a review on the Panasonic sound slayer speaker bar? I know this is off topic and all, but I trust your reviews and your overall opinion and diagnosis of different products, more than anyone else on here really, so I was trying to see if you had done a review on that particular speaker bar
Love Sony info on this channel. Always like 👍🏼
Wonder if they will update 2021 and 2022 xr tvs with gaming dashboard
What TV model is that with the video game demo playing?🔥🔥🔥
Serious question here for Caleb. I have a 2019 65inch samsung q90r, the location of it is in a bright room, is it worth upgrading to the samsung 77inch qd-oled?
Honestly, this is good news for me because I'm looking at the Sony TV and the new Hisense 8 series TV I currently have the Hisense U8H but that new one is definitely enticing.
really curious how close their miniLED gets to OLED. need any reason to replace my A80J. so sick and tired of the aggressive ABL.
What model is replacing the 83” A90J?
I have the 75in x90j and the 85in x95k looking forward to this 1
Is that a YT video of the colorful flames on the tv behind Caleb? If it is, can someone provide the link to the video. Thanks.
It is. I need to find the correct title for that one, but also search Liquid Flames in youtube search and the first hit is something very similar.
MASTERCLASS always worth the wait
How many HDMI 2.1 inputs are there? Still only 2?
Yes, including the EARC.
Will Sony update firmware for the x90k to help with blooming and halo?
Doubt it. Low quantity of Dimming Zones is usually the cause of blooming.
Atleast u got replacement, mine 65X8000H display dead after 2 years 3 months.. out of warranty.
what would be the closest to the micro led Samsung tv ? this tv ? would you say its the closest to the micro led SAMSUNG TV ?
Wonder what the best 42 and 48 inch tv will be
Still waiting for the G3 / C3 ! Do you have any idea when it gonna be available?
I have the a80k - just wondering if they might update my firmware with the new gaming menu (or if that's even possible)
I currently own a Samsung 55S95B QD-OLED and I look forward to buying a Sony 55A95L to compare to it and if it beats the S95B handedly I will keep the Sony and sell the Samsung!
Has the Ethernet connection speed been increased though?
Nope. 🫤
great video Caleb, can't wait to see your in depth reviews.
Thanks, Rich! Can't wait to do them!
Is the new sony gaming is a software update for 2022 tvs or not, please guide
With all the theatrical 3d releases and fans of 3d do you think they might ever make 3d sets again? Thanks.
when will these and the Samsungs be on the market?
Hey Caleb I just bought the A95K oled for $2499 it’s getting delivered next Tuesday. What would you do wait for the L or just keep the the a95K. I just recently returned the Samsung s95b for the A95K
idk..but that A95L is looking and sounding pretty enticing tbh
Yeah I know I’m not sure what to do. I have total tech at Best Buy so I have 60 days. The only thing is if the L comes out after 60 days I’m sol. Mikal what would you do?
@@Bobby-ij8tv - Take it back while you have the chance! The new QD-OLED panel should be better, as well as the next gen XR Clear Image processor. We should be able to purchase the L early summer.
Thanks M&M
That’s what I'm gonna do! If you had to take a guess how much do you think the L is gonna go for $4000 or possibly more?
My plan is as follows
Get the 55” A95L for the bedroom
Then the 83” A90J that I’ve had for a month now will get moved to the darker basement.
Then get the 85”X95L to replace A90J in brighter living room
That’s the plan!!
What about the bathrooms? Can’t forget that. Don’t want to be staring at the wall while doing your business…
@@chibbyylol dude if I could explain that to the wife, bathrooms would be part of the plan!! Lol!!
i wish you could review panasonic oled tvs
YOOOO the video I have been waiting for ALLL yearrr😏🔥🤙
I'm ready to see a 3 way shootout between the A95L, the S95C, and the G3. I'm an avid gamer who is looking to upgrade from my C9.
Same with me, except i’m mot considering the Sony since it only has 2 Hdmi 2.1. A downgrade from our C9. I really want to see if Samsung Tizen has improved since it was horrible on the S95B.
@@HegoDamaskII lol, a downgrade… you’ve obviously never seen a Sony TV with the Cognitive Processor in action! My A80J may only have 2 HDMI 2.1, but I’ll the PQ every day of the week! It’s unmatched!
So does the A80L have a QD-Oled panel now??
No. Only the A95L.
Why can’t Sony put the feet towards the centre of the tv rather than ether end only on the 77’’ version apparently on the QD OLED
Should have the option of both/either or.
Bring me back 15 years, center swivel stands were STANDARD
So the largest size for the A95L is 77 is? There’s no 83-85 inch option?
No. Samsung has not made them yet.
Does the A80L use an EX panel?
So my dream tv is the A95k. Are any of these tvs better than that?
yeah..the A95L
@@mikalkielli3351 bet. Thanks!
Hello Caleb. Recently you posted a video about quality of tv displays which helped us understand the universe better. However I guess majority of us didn’t memorize it. Can you just start with a CHART/GRAPH at the beginning so that we are aware which quality you are referring to?
DANG !!!!!! I wanted a bigger top QD-OLED!!! Was hoping for an 83" at least!
