I'd think that screen wouldn't be too difficult to replace, as long as you're okay with using a soldering iron.
I was considering this - but also thought to myself: how much more might it be to buy a 2nd portapack hackrf? Might go for it when things line up. I'd like to have a 2nd one for certain applications.
