That you love your job is obvious Jan; it's what makes watching your videos so pleasurable. Your knowledge, love and respect for your stock, and your work ethic, all combine to make a superb operation. And a great one to watch. Thank you so much to you and your kin, for sharing your working lives with us.
I just love the fact that Miriam is handy with the maintenance as well. Looking at the weather it seems the cold has kicked in again for you. Nothing above freezing for at least next couple of weeks. Maybe that will work its way round to us in the UK and March will be colder than February.
Oh Jan you got to love your sisters 🙂 As your tag says, "Team Work Makes the Dream Work", and its such a true statement! Your whole family is a great team. I am retired now, but I made a very successful career by building great teams.
Hello! how are you? I follow and like your videos. Thanks for sharing your routine. I live in Brazil, and work with agricultural machinery. I like life on farms. 🚜🚜🐄🐎🐮
Jan, to keep those air lines from rubbing through again you should put a garden hose or something over the cable. That way you won't have to wrestle with those spiral hoses again.
I love watching your drone footage of the dairy barn in the winter as it shows a big factory working on the inside. The way your family loves there job shows by how well and clean you keep everything inside and outside ❤️ There should be more women in Agricultural jobs
Just a suggestion - you might be able to protect the air lines by putting a rubber hose around the cable, so rubber runs on rubber, instead of on the metal cable. That shouldn't be too hard to do - cut a small garden hose lengthwise, and wrap it around the cable.
A split water hose, or old air line, or pool noodle will all work, but will have increased friction when the air lines drag over it. Better solution is plumbing PVC pipe -- that's smoother, so reduced drag on the air lines. You can use old, leaky pvc pipe, which should be cheap. And bigger pipe (like 3" or 4" diameter) will spread the coiled air lines over more of the pipe, thus reducing the wear on the air lines. It will take some work with a saw to split the pipe, but once done, it should last for years.
We used to use that McDonalds threat many years ago. Usually directed at under producers. And when they failed, we would joke "she went to McDonalds for lunch"!
Another great video Jan. With those air lines have you thought of putting old air line or some type of plastic hose over the cable so they do not wear so fast.
Love seeing you and your sisters working together. Also I laughed a little when you cut off at the end before Neline could say the name of her youtube channel....typical brother move haha!!!
The dairy farm I work on when a cow comes in the parlour that would stand still in the herring bone style we take a rope and tie them in around the hips and that will make it simple to put the milkers on
Hello from Indiana , I watch your videos all the time . Just wondering on your winter days with snow and ice could you spray the cement floor’s with liquid magnesium chloride is the least harmful to cement floor’s at temperatures as low as minus - 25 degree’s Fahrenheit it’s safer for plants and animals. That will take care of the ice problems. We do it when we have a bad weather coming we spray .
If you cut short sections out of old hose, and split them lengthwise on the outside of the curl, they can be slipped over the new hose and give it extra thickness where it rubs. Then ya just change(or re-adjust) the protectors as needed 🙂 Is the steel cable coated with a hard slippery plastic too???
Love sis's comment about naughty heifers- tell them they're visiting MC donalds- because iv threatened some cows and heifers before with that- I did carry out that threat on 1 fresh hfr after 2-3 mths trying to milk her, all the guys n me taking our lives in hands each time, she was complete nuts- this was in a herringbone, where a good, sharp kick, could, would and did bloody hurt and was nasty. Only one I've ever had to do that to over 32 yrs
Jan your videos are so well done and hold my complete attention! Do you have any deaf cows? White coated dogs have a higher risk of genetic deafness so I wondered if those almost white cows have a greater risk. Your cows are very beautiful💐
You are right Jan...if you enjoy your job, it's not really "work"! We do need Moan-Days so that we can have Weekends! Beautiful Drone Shots of your Homestead and Farm area! I could watch hours of that too! Very cool to see the different operations you and your family go through and the upkeep and repairing and cleaning is interesting and informative. Having Four Brothers and 2 Sisters of my own I can see the closeness you all have. YES...there are those rare times when we do not see eye to eye...but they are few and far between and it always allows me to stay humble and grateful for my siblings as they put up with me too!🤣 See You two @ McDonalds.....My Treat! 😂 Cheers From COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO
Love having the sisters on they are so beautiful! The video stopped before her channel was finished could we have the rest of it please keep them coming!👍
You know, in addition to rotating those airlines once in a while to reduce the wearing on one spot, u should also cover the wire with a hose or something🤔 would really spare the airlines 🫡😃
Great to see your sisters there working beside you well done ladies .Yes it's a strange month even on the east coast it's rather mild ,like you said good to get ahead to clean up in the outside corals .Great video very good to see your pretty sisters well done Jan
When we have heifers we bring them in and start just putting them in so that they get used to the noise then we slowly start touching there teats and just get them used to everything
Nice video Jan and Mirjam is fine as I Like her she's Beautiful She's also my Sister in Christ Yes we're all meant to be one Body in Christ and we are just that Jan we may have separate Parents but that doesn't mean we're separate Bodies No we're all One Body in Jesus Christ your Sisters are also my Sisters in Christ I liked the video around 10:17 it was funny and good as well I agree with your title as well Jan working together as a Team does make things work that's Certainly True Indeed Great Video.
Great video love how you interact with your sister great to see such family bonds, I was just thinking to help with the new lines could you not cover the wire with a pvc pipe so the lines would run over more smoothly and not be cutting into the wire they run on just a thought watching from the UK 🇬🇧 have a great day x
Love when Miriam comes on. Would like to hear her view of the operation from her point of view. What she likes and does. She's a smart one.
That you love your job is obvious Jan; it's what makes watching your videos so pleasurable. Your knowledge, love and respect for your stock, and your work ethic, all combine to make a superb operation. And a great one to watch.
Thank you so much to you and your kin, for sharing your working lives with us.
Thank goodness for Miriam…love seeing you guys working on projects together.
Working with your family, close to home and access to Mom’s home cooking. Whats not to like.❤
So much fun watching you and your sisters work together Jan.

I just love the fact that Miriam is handy with the maintenance as well.

Hello! how are you?
I follow and like your videos. Thanks for sharing your routine.
I live in Brazil, and work with agricultural machinery. I like life on farms.
🚜🚜🐄🐎🐮
both of your sisters are really cute, and good workers. take care of them Jan. Best video so far
Enjoying your job is one of the most important aspect of creating a satisfying life!Good on you!
Love watching you and your sisters and your dad and mom Please show more..?
It’s great to see Miriam is she still in school . She has a beautiful smile .She looks like you wore her out
Jan, to keep those air lines from rubbing through again you should put a garden hose or something over the cable. That way you won't have to wrestle with those spiral hoses again.
Could take an old line and feed over cable. Then you’d have rubber on rubber. Would save some wear also. Thanks for your videos ✌️
Exactly. I've also seen this done with pex. Take a piece of the tubing, make a slice all the way down, and then fit it over the cable.
Pex works
I love watching your drone footage of the dairy barn in the winter as it shows a big factory working on the inside. The way your family loves there job shows by how well and clean you keep everything inside and outside ❤️ There should be more women in Agricultural jobs
Have you considered putting one of your older air lines on the cable to prevent the metal on synthetic rubbing? What about grease on the cable?
Your Sister's and You are so much fun to watch. Really enjoy Your videos.
Hey, nice modern farm you have there, it's well organized. Great videos too.
Good chemistry with family members make you a invincible team, good luck on the farm!

I’d suggest a Teflon sleeve over the cable.
Team work is always the best work 😊
We used to use that McDonalds threat many years ago. Usually directed at under producers. And when they failed, we would joke "she went to McDonalds for lunch"!
You might consider putting some split plastic wire loom on the cable to prevent the lines from rubbing on the metal cable.
Another great video please convince your siblings to be in more videos 🎉
Neline has videos as well just like Jan on her channel adairyontheprairie.
It's fun watching you work with your family!
Thank you for sharing your story with us
That was great to watch all of you doing your job thanks for sharing
Another great video Jan. With those air lines have you thought of putting old air line or some type of plastic hose over the cable so they do not wear so fast.
All of these short clips makes this more of a news report of hats happening on the farm. I wish you would do more time lapses. I want to see more. ❤❤❤
Love seeing you and your sisters working together. Also I laughed a little when you cut off at the end before Neline could say the name of her youtube channel....typical brother move haha!!!
Great video I would love to come and have a farm tour one day it looks such a cool farm
Your sister is the best worker
She feeds calf

Stay warm and safe brother from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲🇺🇲
The dairy farm I work on when a cow comes in the parlour that would stand still in the herring bone style we take a rope and tie them in around the hips and that will make it simple to put the milkers on
you have such a nice family.....your parents must be very proud
Happy family day in Ontario Canada🎉🎉🎉😊

And now your in a deep freeze with us here in Alberta . Stay warm!!

Good job, Jan and your sister, working hard together and good care, milking, happy times and after that go to McDonald's !😉🤟🐄👍❤️
Very beautiful cow video
Jan your videos are so well done and hold my complete attention! Do you have any deaf cows? White coated dogs have a higher risk of genetic deafness so I wondered if those almost white cows have a greater risk. Your cows are very beautiful💐
Thanks for sharing your vid with us

Split a piece of hose to cover the cable and protect the lines from rubbing on the steel cable.
This video is one of your better ones
Love having the sisters on they are so beautiful! The video stopped before her channel was finished could we have the rest of it please keep them coming!👍
A Dairy on the Prairie. It's linked in the video description.
That’s great you love your job.
Nice to see how well you all work together.
Sent them to McDo if they don't behave...that's a good one!
The ending made me laugh out loud. At least you added the link. ;)
Beautiful drone video good job there
You should run them thru the parlor before they calve seems to work for a couple of buddies of mine
You know, in addition to rotating those airlines once in a while to reduce the wearing on one spot, u should also cover the wire with a hose or something🤔 would really spare the airlines 🫡😃
She does look camera shy. Maybe she needs her own channel as well. Then you guys would have three.
Great to see your sisters there working beside you well done ladies .Yes it's a strange month even on the east coast it's rather mild ,like you said good to get ahead to clean up in the outside corals .Great video very good to see your pretty sisters well done Jan
Jan I do also watch Nelines RUclips Channel I Know you'll be Happy to hear that.
Another very interesting video Thank you
Good job 👍👍👍Thank you for sharing. Take care of yourselves, be safe, and healthy 🇨🇦
good video jan, i wish to come from Egypt and work with you :) :)
I wonder if you could coat the wire in RTV to prevent it from chafing the hoses.
🤜🤛 Cooperation gets the job done. Thank you for the video 😊👍
Put 1 1/4 black water hose over the cable to reduce wear
Yes it does I enjoyed my job most days but there were exceptions
nice editing at the very end, would have done the same to my sisters lol
Your sister is SO VERY sweet.
When we have heifers we bring them in and start just putting them in so that they get used to the noise then we slowly start touching there teats and just get them used to everything
Awesome job everyone
Farm life very work hard
Have you tried to put pool noodles over the wire on the air lines? Might cut down on the wear from wire
Put a hose on the wire to lessen the chafing on the air hoses
Hey sask dutch kid group I would like to join your dairy farm.
How do you put up your it with your brother antics. You girls are cute ☺️
Cover the wire with a rubber hose.. like a old water hose
Jan one little question how man's Werks before calving you Bring your heifers in to the Close Up pen?
Jan, naughty naughty. Cutting your sister off at the end when she was plugging her channel.😂😂
Why would you put a small 1/2 PVC pipe around the cable to protect the hoses from wear?
Nice video Jan and Mirjam is fine as I Like her she's Beautiful She's also my Sister in Christ Yes we're all meant to be one Body in Christ and we are just that Jan we may have separate Parents but that doesn't mean we're separate Bodies No we're all One Body in Jesus Christ your Sisters are also my Sisters in Christ I liked the video around 10:17 it was funny and good as well I agree with your title as well Jan working together as a Team does make things work that's Certainly True Indeed Great Video.
Does Dima (I hope I have spelled that correct) work at your farm? Haven’t seen him in quite some time.
I had a heifer this weekend who would not move when you put cluster on but as soon as I turned to do something else she would kick it off
Good teamwork.
Great video love how you interact with your sister great to see such family bonds, I was just thinking to help with the new lines could you not cover the wire with a pvc pipe so the lines would run over more smoothly and not be cutting into the wire they run on just a thought watching from the UK 🇬🇧 have a great day x
Sisters are sometimes helpful and sometimes NOT 😂
Hello kitty 🐱 is your day today 😮
You enjoy your job; I enjoy eating ice cream. We make a great team!
Might be the first dude I heard admit he likes mondays. LOL
how about putting one of the old air lines over the cable so it's let abrasive
What’s your least favorite job to do on the farm?
How are the cows milking in Saskatchewan Jan. Ours are doing well in Nova Scotia
Neline does more detailed videos and I really appreciate it. ❤❤❤❤😊
I disagree. Too much detail gets boring. I prefer an array of action.
@@realemonful I like it when they do fast forward Timelapse’s.
Also it's important not to stress the fresh heifer. A stressed out heifer (or cow) will not let the milk down.
What are your sisters' long term plans for their futures?
Yes I watch both of you I enjoy your videos very much.
