I watched his lessons in 2008 as high school student obsessed with guitar. Played along the whole video. Today on a hot summer day this Vivaldi metal cover was playing in my head, and then I found out that Alexi Laiho was no longer among us since 2020... 🥲
In Finnish mythology there is a place called Tuonela. It's basically equal to Valhalla, but I wan't to believe I'll meet Aleksi at Tuonela, not in Valhalla :)

Alexis tone came straight from the fingers, no effects and the chorus came in after 2010 about that time it was ON all the time atleast when playing live in studio i dont know
They were both alcoholics. And (as myself) alcoholics get temper and frustration... many times for no reason. At some point, Roope was more drunk and not good for a job (at that specific moment), so he got kicked out from Children of Bodom. There and there, Roope is still alive, Alexi is not. In so many levels sad story. 😪
