Alanda you know the dog look closely is a momma dog you could tell she just had puppies when I finally noticed that I wanted to tear up cause she knew she was a mother to fighting for her child.
@JoNo Brito I think she has seen them she referenced it in a reaction from a year ago I think not sure I assume maybe just pop culture references she knows it.
The most traumatizing part about this whole movie is fact that she had to be on her cycle the entire time!! Like jeez give the girl a break. Truly creepy and uncomfortable movie.
I love that you went through the whole shoe spectrum... 😂 😂 "Can I get some Nikes" "I need some Sketchers for my feet." "Do you wanna get me some Converse." "Put on the Jordans!"
I loved the way they played with the audience using the camera the lead villain who's a man tells us to look away when he's about to eat our main girl and then at the end when the tables have turned she tells us moving the camera or telling us to look at what she did to him she ain't being a coward hiding away doing it she said look what I did I killed this evil man dead lol I was living for that so good.
I knew once the boss told her “stay the night, sweetheart” that he was in on it…I like the way this movie handled the violence against Cherie; not seeing it was a relief yet there’s something about imagining what was happening to her that made it more intense. Love your reactions btw! ❤
EXACTLY THIS! One thing I believe in is the horror of implication 😖. Maybe my imagination is too active but I found it incredibly violent despite actually seeing very little violence
Glad they showed Pitbulls in a good role since they are naturally protective. Church to Club was wild to me too. Those surfer chicks were the definition of what happens when you don’t mind your own business even though i was happy they tried to help but it happens to go many good samaritans. Also thought it was funny how the demon thought she got in the truck so quickly from the bridge to highway. Great use of the bleach wipes. I didn’t even catch that part of the where she typed into the boss’s computer for the kill list, very clever. Also loved the representation of a single mama. That death scene of the group of movie watchers was very creative.
"No! Why are wishy washy? Why are you flipflopflippyflipfloppinassbitch?" Now one of my favorite quotes ever. There shall be stickers, shirts and all the works showcasing this gem! 😉 Haha! For real, this is one of your BEST reactions and I've watch the majority of your videos! I'm a big fan. Keep up the great work! You're the best Alanda!
“Throw on some New Balances, you finna have to run, sweetheart, run!” LMFAO Alanda’s totally off-the-cuff commentary never disappoints!!!! Makes me cackle even when I was previously horrified by whatever fuckshit was happening in the films she subjects herself to for our entertainment 😩💖
Run Lola Run rocks! One of my favorites of all time. Nothing like this one and not related to this. This one was a tiny bit heavy-handed, but I liked it a lot. Clearly written and directed by women, the anxiety of being a woman and feeling vulnerable in public are palpable. This is how you change hearts and minds. Put everyone in your shoes. Oddly enough I watched this one back to back with “The Outwaters” which also had a bunch of running blood-caked and barefoot.
An interesting observation I made is it seems like all the women who went missing were Black or Hispanic women which made me really consider the commentary on what BIPOC women go through. I could be wrong but it looked like all the women on the board in the police station were Black and the missing poster on the bus was a Hispanic women.
Pilou Asbæk, without a doubt, is way too good at playing batshit and psychopathic. His role as Euron Greyjoy on Game of Thrones proved that. And Agent Phil Coulson as the boss who KNEW? That gobsmacked me. Again, this is another amazing reaction, and now I need to go watch this movie as a whole on my own. Haha! While I scream at the screen for folks to help and her to run.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my fur baby 3 months ago, so I can relate and empathize. The unconditional love of an animal is something so sacred and special, and their love - along with the wonderful memories you have of them - will always remain within you. 🙏💙 Blessings to you, during this difficult time. 🙏 I wish comfort and healing for you.
Honestly, a standout moment for me is the store clerk. Ethan has full control over men (and obviously already had the police under his control), but this guy seemed to be one of the few guys who clearly didn’t want to accept the order. Those police officers seemed all too content.
I LOVE this movie. Rewatching it allows you to c atch a lot of the subtle foreshadowing. All the women are wearing some piece of red in their clothing. The dog is a female, and she was sent by The First Lady. She even says, "I've been watching over you all night," so it can also be implied that the car that hit the man could have been her or her people.
"The brow-line says killer" - Alanda! That poor actor cannot control where his brown-line is lmao. Although you are right, his face does scream "killer!"
I literally don't know how this isn't scripted content - You have the best one-liners, quips, hot takes, reactions etc. of anybody on the internet and your videos make my day. Happy Valentines and Black History Month Alanda
"Death, The Devil, The Tower.... No gurl, you got the creepy ones" You cracked me up from the intro alone. 😂🙏💙 Your videos are a highlight of my week. I'm agoraphobic and have C-PTSD, so it's truly like getting to "go to the movies" (and cackle 😂) once a week, with a friend. So, yeah... thank you. You're a truly uplifting spirit. Blessings, always. 🙏 - Jason
So happy you reacted to this! this film was actually shelved for a couple of years originally suppose to go to theatres before it ended on prime . I wanted to know more about the lore that we get near the end of the film ! Flawed film but I enjoyed it even more the second time watching with you and noticing more things ♥️.
Bumped this up my watchlist to be ready for your reaction! The moment Ethan stopped the soundtrack, I knew I was gonna be in for a ride and Run Sweetheart Run didn't disappoint. I enjoyed that the majority of the violence against women is offscreen (though we do get a lot of aftermath 😬), and that they don't fully explain or even show Ethan's true form. I also really enjoyed the music. Lotta funky tracks.
I may be reading too much into it, but this move is honestly a good analogy for women surviving abuse from men. How other men became a possible threat. The police and onlookers being harsher on the survivor and an asset to the abuser. Being blamed by the people around you. How it can feel like no matter how far you run, or how many people step up to protect you, even in moments of light heartedness (like the scene in the car with the ladies before the crash) you're never safe because they never really listen or understand the full weight of the threat. Ultimately you find safety, healing, cleansing, and even victory but usually only in the company of other survivors. And then finally having the light shine back into your life and chase him away. That feeling of making it home, scarred but alive, grateful and safe from him at last.
Run Lola Run is more of an action movie with no supernatural elements. It's visually stunning or at the time it was. Unique! Great reaction once again.
Was she offered to that demon because of the HR report on that man in the beginning or no? I couldn’t understand why her boss did her dirty like that right after 😅 awesome reaction as always, Alanda ❤
No, it looks like he set it up from the beginning. According to his calendar, he "tithed" women regularly - all probably personal assistants. The implication is that he does that to keep power, money, etc.
@@theadelineelizabeth the explanation was maybe the boss offered her up in order to stay in his powerful role since there were many woman in his calendar. Not sure why their comment is deleted, it was a really good possibility.
That this movie is a commentary on the patriarchy period-tracking women to punish them is especially urgent and poignnant, given the fuckery going on in this country right now. Cherie also reminded me of Tess and I didn't agree with most of their decisions. I had to keep reminding myself that they were thrown into unknown circumstances with no weapons and against more powerful (albeit supernatural) forces. Sidney's badassery has really spoiled me for final girls, but Cherie and Tess deserve and have earned their place amongst the greats!
I am so GLAD you’re reviewing this movie! It’s bizarre in the most creatively filmed ways and a bit too on the nose thematic ways. Can’t wait to see what you say about it!
Hey Alanda! It's so good to see you in such great spirits, you seem to be thriving! This movie has completely escaped me, so as a horror fan I gotta thank you for introducing me to something new (and different!) ☺ as always I had THE best time seeing your reaction & can't wait to see what you've got planned for next week 🌻🌻🌻
Everyone just calling her sweetheart, I get it she has a cute girl next door vibe and seems legit sweet, but that is pretty familiar for people that are no help at all when her life is literally in danger lol
I LOOOOVE your reactions to the Slasher/Thriller films. Especially The Scream Franchise -- it's what brought me here. Grrrrl, I'm excited for Scream VI too!!
I saw this weeks ago and it is so unique and spooky. They make your u feel uncomfortable for the first 15 minutes. Then pure attack and defense mode the rest of it. So good and feels like a camp clut classic!!! Great reaction!!!!🥰📺🪚😬🤨👹
Girl the quips! I could not stop cracking up when you made your quips. Literally had me waiting for the next one 😂. That one jump scare you did, got me too. Anyways, great reaction, and may I suggest as your next reaction "The Menu". It's not necessarily scary, more like a psychological thriller. Can't wait for your next reaction!
You mentioned an all-star cast while watching "Valentine." Elijah Wood, Josh Hartnett, Clea Duval, Jordana Brewster, USHER, Shawn Hatosy, and Famke Janssen, to name a few... I desperately hope that you add 1998's "THE FACULTY" to your post Love Month list. The cast is fire, and even the smaller roles have star power. Salma Hayek, for example! It's a perfect "who's the villain" with a mysterious twist! It's campy in the best way!! You'll love it! 💙 I really hope you watch it, cuz I know the mystery aspect will pull you in! Much love right back to you!! 🤗 You're always wishing good things for us, so here's hoping that you are thriving and doing well, too! 💖🫂🤟 PS: Kevin Williamson wrote the screenplay, enough said
this reminds of a darker version of Fright Night (1985). You should check that one out and the 2011 remake, they’re really fun watches. Also Vampire In Brooklyn.
I liked the concept and many story elements in this film, the acting was good for the most part, but once the baby daddy picks her up and they go to his girl’s house, ooooweeeeee it was hard to stomach that dialogue. I actually stopped it about 7-10 times thinking I couldn’t take it, but came back to see how it played out. Thankfully it got a better after that house of friends died.
Unfortunately I had to stop watching this video halfway through because it turns out it seems like it's a really good movie so I will have to watch it first then come back for your reactions 😜
"Who's that adorable, precious... little demon" 🤣 "obviously!... but thank you for saying it" x3 I can't with you; you're awesome! Life coach, scratch that, soul coach, or better yet, most uplifting, hilarious human! We went, "it's Henry from the last of us" at the "same" time. I'm so happy you watch that too. Btw, I know you don't tend to watch series on this channel anymore, but would you consider watching Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, or even Midnight Mass (10 episodes, 9 episodes, 7 episodes, respectively)? I was tempted to suggest Hill House after you watched M3gan because of the little girl; she's excellent at it. It's a fantastic story about family - scary, tense, and emotional throughout. Bly is more emotional than scary but has what I've seen called goth horror (I feel it stays with you rather than spook you in a jumpscary way). Midnight Mass is terrific too, but a different concept - family is present in all shows, but in this one, it's tangled with faith/misconceptions/prejudice/love and how that could lead to greatness or--well, horror. If you have yet to watch them, and it doesn't suit the channel, you can always check them on your own time when you don't know what else to watch. 💗
Alanda Parker let me just say I am loving your commentary on the horror genre. I would love to suggest you watch, As Above So Below. It is a part of the found footage sub genre of horror and it has a more positive ending. So as to ease you into things.
I just finished watching and I NEEDED to find a video like yours because I freaking LOVED this movie and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And I think this movie hit home for just about every woman in some way (and funny enough I had a nightmare about this kind of horror scenario just the other night so you can imagine my shock watching and seeing the similarities on screen lol)
When I first saw this man I thought the same thing Alanda I thought why the hell does he look like he's about to unleash something fantastic acting for sure
wow rewatching this with you is a gift! and yes i love ellabalinska gap too! i had to pause the movie for a minute and take some yoga breaths when cherie went to them white girls for help in the beginning and they responded like that it was way too real
Dont know if anyone mentioned this already or not but the dog being so aggressive out of the blue could be that it sensed the bad vibes from this man. According to some studies and anecdotes I've read ages ago so, i have no references. Just a thought 🤷
I think you would like Run Lola Run, it was an interesting show where they play with the timeline so its not your usual thriller. I enjoyed it. I haven't seen this one yet but I can't get to prime where I am so I'm happy to watch it with you.
Hi Alanda. There's another thriller movie from about 3 years ago called Sweetheart played by a black female lead. It was really good, It keep you on the edge of your seat, like what's going to happen awesome suspense! Please consider a reaction if you haven't seen it 💗
This is the first movie you have reacted to that I haven't seen! I'm gonna check it out. Gotta give my recommendations. EDEN LAKE DOGTOOTH REQUIM FOR A DREAM HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE
i started watching this last night but was so tired and fell asleep but i can’t wait to watch your reaction so i’ll finish it later and tune in for the vid ❤❤❤
The women who plays the main character is the main character in the resident evil show.. it got cancelled after its first season but it’s good. I think it’s definitely worth a watch
I mentally checked out of that movie the second I watched her not use any of the other 4 tampons in that box... or even the 1 that was thrown in the toilet still usable. Or any sanitary items at all. A woman could not have been involved in writing this.
I enjoyed. FIRST AND FOREMOST🤔WHY THE HELL DIDN’T THIS LADY GET A TAMPON UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST HOUR OF THIS MOVIE PASSED?!…other than that it most def was a roller coaster ride! What started out as a Harvey Weinstein moment turned into something I wasn’t expecting, LMAO. AND the soundtrack was sick!♥️👌🏾
Hey Alanda good to see you!! You look amazing! Can’t wait to watch this! I know you do horror movies, but could you possibly do Resident Evil it’s about zombie apocalypse and Milla Jovovich is a badass! ❤️❤️ as always you are amazing and reactions are gold! 😂❤️
Ahh I just watched the movie and immediately came to your reaction. I loved this movie. The cinematography was amazing, the camera being a bystander that ignore and follows this predator until the end when she forces us to watch and see who he is. One thing that did make me confused what when she gets booked first, like isn't she in school to be lawyer? How did she not put more of a fight legally?? Also those moments when she was with other ppl like her ex or those surfer girls. I felt like everything paused and the main girl just forgot she was being hunted. But it was a really good movie and the commentary and background meaning was so great
I'll have you know, I was doing a Bath and Body Works order while watching on the tiny screen, and once you got to "Oh, is that Blooooood????", I had to put that order on hold! Immediately switched to full screen, I could Not miss your reaction!😆😆😆
🗣 THERE IS A LIL 'THE LAST OF US' SPOILER (for episode 4) AT 28:12! Skip forward like 8 seconds if you haven't watched the ep 💛
Alanda you know the dog look closely is a momma dog you could tell she just had puppies when I finally noticed that I wanted to tear up cause she knew she was a mother to fighting for her child.
Alanda how would you rate the series so far? Have you played the game? If so or not you should play Ella’s new game Forespoken.
@JoNo Brito I think she has seen them she referenced it in a reaction from a year ago I think not sure I assume maybe just pop culture references she knows it.
Heyyyyy girllllll can you watch The Belko Experiment this movie will 🤯
I was JUST ABOUT to comment about how you should react to tlou!!! It would be so much fun
The most traumatizing part about this whole movie is fact that she had to be on her cycle the entire time!! Like jeez give the girl a break. Truly creepy and uncomfortable movie.
More movies should deal with periods and the like.
And it started day of! The universe hated her 😭🤧
Yeah I would have ripped HIS head off lol. Don't try me on my cycle!
Just got off a few days ago....not sure if I want to go through it again on screen 🤣🤣💯
In the middle of mine and it makes me wonder so much
I love that you went through the whole shoe spectrum... 😂 😂
"Can I get some Nikes"
"I need some Sketchers for my feet."
"Do you wanna get me some Converse."
"Put on the Jordans!"
LMAOOO AHHH!!
LAUGHING MY ASS OFF THE WHOLE TIME
alanda spiraling & naming every shoe brand on the face of the earth is a specific type of hilarious 😂 love your videos girl ❤️
It’s real crazy how the faces of some actors look villainous, but IRL they’re just living their lives and tryna pay bills 😂
Truly unfortunate, but at least they’re making lemonade 🤷🏾♀️
I loved the way they played with the audience using the camera the lead villain who's a man tells us to look away when he's about to eat our main girl and then at the end when the tables have turned she tells us moving the camera or telling us to look at what she did to him she ain't being a coward hiding away doing it she said look what I did I killed this evil man dead lol I was living for that so good.
Yeah that's one of my favorite things! Does a great job of showing how in control he is of everything around her until he’s not
I remember seeing the trailer and being so creeped out by that part, very nice camera trick
Omg you're right! That was such clever cinematic parallelism
I knew the boss was in on it after he set her up. And after she messed his bookings up. That man was infuriated.
I'm so glad you never let up on your distrust for this man 👏🏽👏🏽 He was literally the Devil

Facts, she's witty AF.🤣
Run Lola Run rocks! One of my favorites of all time. Nothing like this one and not related to this. This one was a tiny bit heavy-handed, but I liked it a lot. Is it the German movie? Or was there an American remake?
@@kavtoM The German one. No remake.
I watched this in German class 😂 Lola rennt 🏃🏼♀️

One of my pets passed away tonight and you uploading this video brought a smile to my face. Thank you Alanda for everything!
so sorry to hear that. i had to put down my cat last week so i feel you :( it's so tough.
They are watching over you 😊
I’m so sorry. Glad the video was able to lighten your mood during a difficult time ❤

I went into this movie blind and it took a weird turn that I wasn't expecting. I enjoyed it and loved the running joke about her getting tampons
The hilarity of Alanda thinking the rich guy was a villian. He definitely played a villian in GoT. Lol

That was such a sweet pitty! Just another reason why dogs are the best! ❤
11:01 Morgan Freeman ?? 😂😂
Alanda Parker let me just say I am loving your commentary on the horror genre. I would love to suggest you watch, As Above So Below. It is a part of the found footage sub genre of horror and it has a more positive ending. So as to ease you into things.
alanda’s comment section is so heartwarming ❤
Perfect timing Queen. Got terrible news earlier and I just need a good laugh 💕
@Andie Dufresne thanks so much ❤️
I'm sorry... Sending positive vibes to you. 🙏
@@owlseyetarot much appreciated 💕
I hope you’re feeling better love 💛💛💛
I just finished watching and I NEEDED to find a video like yours because I freaking LOVED this movie and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. And I think this movie hit home for just about every woman in some way (and funny enough I had a nightmare about this kind of horror scenario just the other night so you can imagine my shock watching and seeing the similarities on screen lol)
When I first saw this man I thought the same thing Alanda I thought why the hell does he look like he's about to unleash something fantastic acting for sure
That opening is actually so scary tho she just runs out scared and screaming oof....
i just watched this last night n needed someone else to review it! i’m glad i found you!!
wow rewatching this with you is a gift!
and yes i love ellabalinska gap too!
i had to pause the movie for a minute and take some yoga breaths when cherie went to them white girls for help in the beginning and they responded like that it was way too real
I love that you checked every brand of sneakers you could think of! Hahahahaha
My mom and I watched this together. I think we liked it, I can't remember from all the wine and watching 3 horror movies in a row that night. 😅
Dont know if anyone mentioned this already or not but the dog being so aggressive out of the blue could be that it sensed the bad vibes from this man. According to some studies and anecdotes I've read ages ago so, i have no references. Just a thought 🤷
So glad you watched this one.. I saw the previews and wanted to know more. I knew it was Tramatizing when I saw Blum House 😳 but a good watch.👏👏
To go through all this on your period... Lord hammercy...
Run Lola Run is a fun movie, but unrelated to this actually. Just similar titles.
EDEN LAKE
DOGTOOTH
REQUIM FOR A DREAM
HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE
Run Lola Run is a brilliant film.
Whether you watch it on here or not, be sure to check it out.
i started watching this last night but was so tired and fell asleep but i can’t wait to watch your reaction so i’ll finish it later and tune in for the vid ❤❤❤
Went and watched this movie just so I could watch this video. Happy black history month queen!
Alanda naming off all the shoe brands is my kinda ish! Get you some sneakers & Run the F outta this place!! 🤣 best commentary ever Love ya sis!! 🖤
one of my favorites reacting to one of my random favorites of last year.. I wasn’t ready and neither were you 😩… IM HERE FOR ALL OF THIS
Love this reaction!!! Sweet Mary, I wasn’t ready!!😮😮😮
Queeen icon my luv, can't sleep so happy you uploaded, going in now, you should totallllly watch The Menu next I think you'll really enjoy it :)
But it was a really good movie and the commentary and background meaning was so great
damn how heavy was her flow, good movie though
There's a movie from 2019 called MA with Octavia Spencer. It's a good one.
He’s giving Jackson Avery
Alanda has a gift for making bad movies more entertaining just by her commentary.
Run Lola Run is one of my all time favorites. Do not skip it!
This movie is such a feminist icon.
I'll have you know, I was doing a Bath and Body Works order while watching on the tiny screen, and once you got to "Oh, is that Blooooood????", I had to put that order on hold! Immediately switched to full screen, I could Not miss your reaction!😆😆😆
dam I'm glad you made me discover this movie with you ! TY
I am so excited to see your commentary. You make my day!
Alanda I'd love to see you react to Elvira Mistress of the Dark when you're in the mood for a comedy!
Classic!
This was the same anxiety that I got from Get Out. Let me go watch some cartoons.
Have you watched “when a stranger calls”2006? Always love that one.
This ending made me happy😂
