okay so what i understood is there's 2 jeffs. the first version who wants to marry her is the clone. basically he is a experiment already and she's pretending with him. so they take him away and do more experiments and shes also a part of helping those ppl. the other jeff is the one who's actually married to her. but while staying with the clone she somewhat feels for him so she helps him run away in the end.
For me it’s like this song is something the girl sings to Jeff. The scientist Jeff is a husband of the girl. The cloned Jeff is in love with the girl and the girl loves him back. And she has to let him go and wouldn’t chase him, saying it’s okay if he would find he searching for.
I believe Military Jeff is the one at the wedding cause he has the actual ring. So Farm Jeff's memories are the GHOST. They belong to someone else. She's there to observe the clone, but she loves both of them. I believe this is supposed to be the future. (And blind man's bluff was appearantly a popular game at weddings once upon a time, hense the blindfold.)

There is a movie with a storyline not far from this that i just watched on Hulu literally this past weekend. i’m gonna have to go look it up and let you guys know what it’s called. this has been driving me insane cuz i knew it all felt familiar

I believe the first Jeff is an alien who's living amongst people as a farm owner. The first shot is his girlfriend/ex watching him flying off/escaping from Earth. So first they show us the end of the mv. During the mv we get to see what happened that lead to that ending. The alien Jeff was betrayed by his wife. The evil Jeff wanted to find out stuff about the alien Jeff and that's why he got drugged first and then tested. The woman told the evil Jeff (her ex?) some information about the alien Jeff. Either the woman knew he was alien or she suspected something was "wrong" with him. For some reason, unknown to us viewers, she betrayed him. She might've not known beforehand how badly the alien Jeff would be treated so she came to regret her betrayal. And that's when she saved him and helped him escape. My theory about the blindfold is that it's implicating that the woman is leading the alien Jeff on without him knowing that. Or maybe it's just showing his blind love for the woman and she wasn't intentionally leading him on, at least yet.
