@BooneDownSouth I was curious because rye grass is usually a last resort when most other food sources are gone. I do have a bag and going to try some in an out of the way place.
Just buy rye grass it's almost the same as your big buck throw and grow bag and way cheaper! I plant rye grass in front of my cameras so the deer dont hang out and eat in front of them.

I would be curious to see what your natural food sources in that area are. Because that mix is 85% rye grass.
Early season we have some fescue and wild grasses, grapes, acorns, and misc browse, late season we still have some fescue and wild grasses, and corn.

Wouldn't waste my money on that .
To each his own. It hasn't been a waste of money for me as it has been very effective. But there are lots of options out there.
