Learn How To Edit Stuff idk if you’ve done this tutorial but if you haven’t can you do the effect were like the camera seems to zoom into your face and like follows your motion?
Also, instead of keyframing a mask, make a new shape layer above the purple text, parent it to the ball, and then use that to mask the purple text by selection 'Alpha mask' on the purple text layer

This is awesome. Not sure if anybody has said it but you could copy and paste the horizontal ball movement key frames to the coloured text transport. Then it would follow the ball precisely :)
Thank you so much! I am actually using this for work for a virtual holiday video we are making. Our team is lip-syncing to "Winter Wonderland" and I'm using a snowflake instead of a ball. This is awesome! So easy once I get a few lines written out and just adjusting the keyframes. Too bad this song is by Bing Crosby and he's not consistent with his syllables!

thanks, i don't have a good enough computer to use Ae but I use shotcut and this video really helped get a good idea on how to do it. All I needed to do was adapt the steps into a different software. Keep up the good vids

Yep, I just did it (with a bee)! Instead of creating the shape layer, just drag and drop an image file into your project pane, then drag the new item into your composition pane- a layer will appear, and you apply the manipulations to that layer instead of the shape layer. I literally opened After Effects for the first time

stupid question - how do you pause the audio/video prewiev so that the marker stays in that particular place? whenever I use Num. or spacebar to stop prewiev, marker goes back to the place where preview has started....

@@zhousiling6864 I had to add another shape layer (copy and pasting the first one then changing the positions) but its not the most effective if you have a lot of lyrics. Have you discovered an easier way?
Yip would like to avoid copying a new shape layer for each line if possible?
it would help to know how to add a key frame, I can't get past adding the key frame because I don't know how to add a keyframe

for repeated lines, instead of adjusting shape layer again, what can I do?
currently I am thinking of 1) export it 2) use that footage again for that repaet lines.
what is the easiest way to do this?
You can pre-compose the animation into its own layer, then just duplicate the layer and move it over to where you need it... hopefully that makes sense :P

I can precompose the text, but what about the shape layers(ball and rectangular mask)?
Copy the shape layers > precompose one copy with text > delete keyframes from the "outside shape layer" > animate again?
You should be able to precompose everything including the shape layers... you can duplicate the shape layer then precompose to retain a 2nd copy outside the precomp

Sir, is there any template in which I just have to paste lyrics of new songs and adjust the length. Rest thing is same in each song for eg. I want to add lyrics in videos like trapnations, trapcity, NCS etc.. the video style, font style everything remains same except lyrics so everytime I just have to paste lyrics of a new song.

Don't click the item. Hover over it and then shift click and drag
It should not have the square edit markers all the way around the item. It should only have the lines near the corners of the item.
