      @QUBIQUBED My brother in Christ have you ever heard of complimentary colours
      When people say “red is the opposite of green” they’re talking about placements on a colour wheel. Orange is opposite to blue, yellow is opposite to purple, and **red is opposite to green**
      Learn how to look into things before lashing out at somebody for an insignificant reason. We’re not stupid, we just know colour theory

    This makes me think that with Euphrasia and Wildfire appearing on DR a REALLY GOOD parallel would be Morro being there to be a teacher/father figure to Euphrasia like Kai With Wildfire (I don't think is going to happen, but is nice to dream)

    • @miakwat

      OHHH WAIT YEAH THATD BE SO COOL!! I hope they find a way to *somehow* bring him back for at least an episode because it’d be really neat to see the two of them interact

  • @catalyst539
    @catalyst539 7 месяцев назад +35

    I love Morro as a villain, and while Euphrasia uses the powers more creatively, she’s never going to be as good a character as him imo.
    Also I wonder- had Garmadon not fully succumbed to the venom and the Battle Between Brothers didn’t happen yet, would he have been a better teacher to Morro than Wu?
    If Morro gets brought back, hopefully they don’t undo the redemption he got in DotD. He shouldn’t need to be a villain again. Take notes, Crystalized Harumi writers. Take notes.

    • @miakwat
      @miakwat  7 месяцев назад +5

      I like to think Garmadon would’ve been a good teacher to Morro! Im not sure if it’s because he’s older or if he was just trying to compensate for his time as Lord Garmadon, but he seems a bit more understanding and patient than Wu, and I think that’s what Morro needed rather than somebody who’d just willingly let him run away in hopes of changing something out of his control

    • @catalyst539
      @catalyst539 7 месяцев назад +2

      @@miakwat
      Wu really wasn’t that good of a teacher to someone like Tai Lung ig
      Garmadon shows in ToE that he can be better than Wu in some areas, that was of course before Harumi decided to exist
      Garmadon was also the more rational of the two brothers, for example he was the one who told Wu not to go near the Serpentine area in a S11 flashback
      I think Morro needed someone who would be blunt and straightforward rather than someone cryptic and around the bush beating.

    Speaking of not discovering a correlation for many years, it wasn’t until yesterday, May 30 of 2024, that I realized that the Fangpyre serpentine tribe is a take on the word Vampire and not Empire. Just like vampires, the Fangpyre inject their venom into people or objects and transform them into serpentine. The correlation is so striking and clear that I can’t believe it took me 12 years to finally make the connection.

      ITS BEEN NINE YEARS??? God, I feel so old

    I never thought about some of these comparisons before, and I'm so glad you pointed them out! I love how kai step up to be everything morro couldn't be. In season 1 kai had to find his self worth. Once he got the revelation about what he must do he did it. Kai's training & journey was for him to mentor & protect the green ninja rather than becoming him. In season 2 kai was with lloyd to the very end even blocking possessed nya from attacking him. In season 4 we got a glimpse of Kai's unresolved issues when he got chen's staff he almost got corrupted but he overpowered its influence breaking it & returning the stolen powers to its rightful owners. In season 5 kai statement that he will look after lloyd is backed up with their earlier moments. He took the lead without powers & was the one who takes tactical decisions like buying their farm for ronin because he got no other options now that morro learnt airjitzu. Kai was put against morro 1v1 for most of the season even lloyd momentarily gain back control & gave kai the sword. In the tomb of the first spinjitzu master Kai's strategic play allowed them to caught morro off guard & successfully recovering lloyd. Kai risen up for the occasion fulfilling the promise he made earlier. Kai's growth & capacity for protecting others is established from the pilot & was made his "aha" moment when he unlocked his true potential in season 1 gaining a new defined & meaningful role better than having him be the green ninja.

    Also, have you seen the parallels slowly being drawn with morro and Arron? (Ninjago Dragons rising for people not caught up)
    Like- they're Wu's and Lloyd's first apprentices, who both struggle with insecurities. Morro, who thinks he isn't worth anything with being the green ninja, and Arron, who thinks he isn't worth anything because he doesn't have an elemental power.
    Not only that, but their Sensei's don't exactly handle it the best way either. I love Lloyd and wu to death, but Wu basically said "sorry, deal with it kid" and Lloyd keeps insisting that Aaron is going to be "the best ninja ever", even when Aaron is clearly having a difficult time succeeding.
    Anyways, it's just someone me and others have been noticing. 👀 Potentially leading to a villain arch with Aaron? We'll see

      @@QUBIQUBED I have rewatched season one, yet he continues to maintain a relatively arrogant attitude throughout the series and I will admit that I’m likely biased from personal experiences with people that act similar and the fact that I always hated his character when I was much younger (I mean, like, seven or eight).
      I will definitely admit that his character is far more bearable and I respect him far more now, but I will still stick to my opinion that early Kai was a bit of a ‘female dog’. Nowadays, I’d say that he’s relatively likeable, but I’m still biased.
