Most importantly: don't force them. Some piggies just don't like being touched. Respect that. Others may need a full year and then you can really cuddle them "flat". The most love you can show them is by listening closely and always back up when they seem uncomfortable.

I watched a video earlier and it said they don’t like being pet on their back, my purrs when I do it though so would that be a uncomfortable purr or a happy purr??

Uncomfortable purr. Their discomfort is based on their anatomy not their personality. They have special glands back there.

I love watching this video, it's so calming. ❤️ I love guinea pigs but I'm not allowed pets where I live. 🥺 So I watch cute videos of them instead. 😊

Our girls love to be petted down their back a
And both will ‘pancake’ and just about always purr up a storm. They also like chin scratches and using my thum and finger behind their ears. And when Buttercup is done with the chin scratches she noses under my finger up on top of her head- saying “pet my back more again”
