  • "Artistanbul Feshane," formerly known as "Feshane" and "Feshâne-i Âmire," was established by the Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II in 1833 in the Kadırga district of Fatih, Istanbul, with the purpose of producing uniforms for the Ottoman Army, replacing the Janissaries. In 1839, it was relocated to its current location.
Following restoration work initiated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2018, on June 22, 2023, it reopened under the name "Artistanbul Feshane" as a cultural and art center.
