- Hunt Showdown has been out for 5 years and its starting to gain more traction in the Extraction Shooter scene. I went back to see how it is in 2024.
Turns out Hunt Showdown is an incredible game that more people need to be playing.

Seeing you play the sawn off shotgun(instead of the full length one) for three games in a row with an experienced hunter teaching you the game, and ending the video on you in a trio where you once again intend to bring the sawn off shotgun with a small slot secondary, makes me think of the quote from Kung Pow; "we have purposely trained him wrong, as a joke"
Great video though, love the game. It's a hidden gem, most of my friends hadn't heard of it, but it quickly became one of their favorites.
Ya during recording I didn’t really know what was going on. I just got the Hunter with those guns and wanted to see how long I’d last as a mini challenge to me.

I've honestly always thought Hunt Showdown was an asymmetrical 4v1 game like dead by daylight or evolve. This video actually makes me tempted to pick it up now :)))

This game is full of memes, too. I can't think of any other game where a valid play style is bringing two hand crossbows with chaos bolts (short bursts of blank fire on impact) and simulating WWI inside of a compound

@@MrSaviorHD there certainly is a lot of potential with the monsters and stuff, and the horror elements. It will also be a really good intro to the game mechanics etc.
Hunt doesn’t need a campaign
Crytek can do a MEAN single player FPS campaign too. The original Crysis is still one of my all time favorite games, and both sequels while not as good were still great games.
this game is pretty fun but it’s full of high ping and server issues, i’ve thrown almost 1000 hours into this game and when you get into more mid to high ranked games you find people sit still more. Other than the game pushing towards a very campy play style in some fights and some stupid high ping fights it can be fun.
Feedback about your editing. The subtitles you add have too much animation and the deepfried, blown out speaker effect every time you sensor a curse word is simply AWFUL. Chill out on that stuff. You already do a great job speaking 👍

A great game overall and PVP fights are really nice feeling. There's two downsides imo: 1. There really is nothing at stake here. It really makes no difference if you survive or not, so it kind a feels meaningless, even though fights area great. 2. I just hate those long chase situations, where you just know you can not catch the escaping group with the bounty... And this happens a lot.
Worth mentioning that console version is crap. Me and my friends got to the game hype as fuck to make it our new main game and developers dropped the ball completely.. (PS5)
Hunt is one of those games that deserves to be praised for its unique setting within the extraction shooter realm but it's plagued by high ping region abusers, blatant hackers, poor hit registry due to leaseweb servers, easy to abuse MMR rating and the dev team not listening to proper feedback to address such things while shoving new skins to buy every few weeks. I have about 240 hours in this game, while its not my primary game it is a game i play socially with a group of friends. I can recommend it on sale but never at its full price.

i tried hunt showdown years ago. ,it paled and fell short in every possible way to tarkov. gameplay was meh. but the fantasy elements is what drove me away. sick asf vid tho. im almost out of vids to catch up on tho. sads.
