I love it that Brad was cracking the throttle and really working the draft to see what the car would do and how much of a pull he got off of cars in front of him. Its an interesting dichotomy to compare how Brad approached that session to how Hamlin approached it. They started near each other... Hamlin blazed to the front to try and "take the lead". Brad made sure he stayed stuck mid-pack so he could learn as much as possible.
And which one of those two has a ton more plate wins and has at least won the 500? Maybe he should've tucked in behind Denny and actually learned something.

@@tamezzodiac2862 i mean with that being easier means they could even pushed the cars harder than before now because the cars more easier to drive, though this is just testing still and they can slow down the turn rate on the steering Edit : adding some words
I was worried about that. I know it's kinda irrelevant but when this car first came to iracing it was super easy to lose the draft and start going backwards. These days it's pretty much on par with this low HP big spoiler package you can catch draft pretty far back now. These things are pretty much flat out outside the pack but in the pack you have to let off. Alot of checking up right now because that and learning the new car. Combined with the draft meant he was able to catch them a little faster then in regular season but the distance will be the same. They were a touch on the safe side here.
Brad is kinda holding back. If he wanted to he could push the car much faster, but he seems to be experimenting a bit. He knows something that rest of us don’t. I’m so pumped for this year.
It's so cool to hear the engines without the spotter chatter or constantly changing camera/microphone angles. I was also thrown for a bit when he shifted "one extra time" completely forgetting the new transmission for the Gen7. Looking forward to this season. Hoping BK can help RFK racing return to glory.
The runs that they can generate with this next gen car are unreal, I thought the runs were insane last year, this is on another level. The plate tracks are going to be wild.
There weren't any wrecks through the two day test were there? If not, that is pretty dang incredible considering some said it felt like they were really racing. Kudos to all the driver's. 👊🏻
I have tested arca car here before few years back at Daytona we ran no plates doing 203 mph drafting is amazing feeling here so much fun. Nothing compared to the half mile high banked tracks I was use to. You can lift to half throttle catch the guy Infront of then wide-open around him and you can slow the guy down next to you as well. It feels like when you get behind a 18 wheeler on highway and car starts to shake and get jittery well it feels like that times a 1000 times more intense it takes skill and soft touch on steering wheel to be able to do what Brad did here. And my arca car had the mid 2004 style cup body on it better in the draft then the new composite ones you can choose between threw different bodies in arca
Man iRacing has it pretty spot on. Other than the fact the outside line has no pull at all. The inside line is dominate. But the throttle off time and drafting up is pretty spot on. That's wild.
