This is great Jannis. Thanks again. Might have a deep dive into Wavetable. Operator looks incredibly complicated, so maybe best to leave until I really understand synths.

Great to hear that it was helpful! I agree. Also for me Operator was the last synth I started learning, since before I felt a little intimidated by it 😄

@@JannisLeWolff Every synth intimidates me… hard to learn it from scratch in your mid 40’s.

Yeah, there is something about the way they look. But in the beginning I also thought that I always need to create super complex modulations and structures in order to get a good sound. But now I feel more fascinated by simplicity and finding the things that really matter. And it’s good to know that it’s fine if you just used 1% of all modulation possibilities.

@@JannisLeWolff Yes, I am like that too. I want to get to a point where all my instrumentation is sound designed and not reliant on presets. Which part of Germany are you from Jannis?

@@stuartleighton Yes! Although sometimes I really enjoy using presets and creating something quick with it, almost like some limitation on its own. I'm living in Berlin, but originally from the area of Hannover.

Hey Janis, great content man, I love your videos! I also absolutely love the Nord drum videos as I have one, and you've inspired myself to use it on different ways!! Wavetable is my favourite ableton synth btw! :)
