    I tried replacing my Nord Drum 3P with a Roland TR-09 and sold the Roland as it was a one trick pony and only does that one kind of sound. I also got an Erica Synth LXR-02 because I liked the faders ... and sold it too as it was too much menu diving and twisting the Nord Drum's settings is way more intuitive and there's one knob per function. So I'm keeping my Nord Drum 3P - and I'm adding faders via MIDI with an AtoVproject 16N. The Nord Drum is the best sounding synth drum I ever had, period.

    Great video! Do you know if I can change the pads channel numbers? When you pick your drum kit lower left pad is Kick on your hardware, mine is upper left when I pick my drum kit. It’s not very convenient to play like that. I was wondering if there is a way that I can make the lower left channel my channel 1? Thank you 🙏

    I think you could assign not a global channel but a seperate midi channel for every pad on the nord drum. This would enable you to do the stuff you wanted to do with ableton or am i wrong?

    • @JannisLeWolff
      @JannisLeWolff 2 дня назад

      Unfortunately that’s the problem: the Nord Drum can only send out midi on one global channel… not possible to assign individual channels per pad, it only works for receiving midi.

It would be great also if you spoke a bit less.. at least for me, I can follow along by simply watching the moves you're making. I think it will render a more relaxing viewing experience.. especially when yoire making ambient pads. This isn't to say I'm for zero speaking.. just think a little less and simply more action would be useful. Anyways great stuff and Goodluck to you

    Very thoughtfully structured video on polyrhythm. It seems to come from a drummer´s perspective. It would work as a good antidote against boring pop music rhythms. Unfortunately it is used too seldom. I liked the build up of the melancholic chord sequence of example 3. Not just explained well but also good musical ideas with a good sound choice.
